2026 R1T Quad Max (had a '23 Quad)
Hi all
Happy to report that I was able to successfully install a Blendmount 3032 in a ‘26 R1S Quad
I retain full functionality of the rear view mirror

For your MirrorTap, did you go with the 15" long MTX-Series (the one with multiple "taps")? Or something else? If you did the 15", do you think you could've gotten by with the 10" long kit?

Looks like I used this one, which is 14". There's definitely some slack, but unsure if 10" would be enough.

And there is plenty of free space to tuck away extra slack, just stay clear of the metallic module that can get very hot. IMO, better to have slack than to find out you need more.

I had a professional install this one, so I have no idea (I did it myself on my '23 R1S and once was enough for me - was glad to pay someone else to do it this time around).

Thanks for that link!

I'm PRETTY SURE I used the 10" on our 1st gen, but can't remember for sure. I can say I did, for sure, use the MTX MirrorTap and that I don't have any extra cord - like barely enough kind of thing.

My mount was a cobbled together bit of parts from 67 Designs and it positioned our V1 to the right of the rearview mirror. With the power inlet being on the right of the detector, there was a bit of a reach to get the power cord to it.
I might reuse my mount on the new gen2. I was just snooping around this thread to see if anything better had come along.
I did/do like this setup because it got the V1 mounted up high. The RD wasn't hanging below like a cow's udder. However, we all know, suction cups are not going to hold long term. I ended up getting a VHB disk from Amazon and using it between the glass and cup. RD hasn't fallen since. Now, how easy will it be to uninstall... unsure.

I have the GEN2 R1S Quad (3 weeks now) and an escort that uses the EZ mag mount. I provided dimensions of the mirror stem/etc. to Blendmount and they said they don't have any mounts that would work at this time. Someone on this thread said they got the BMG-3032 to work? Has anyone else had any success with a mount that will fit the very short mirror stem on the GEN2 R1S?

It depends on your seating position and how far you need to angle the mirror. The further you set forward, the more you need to swing the mirror to the left. This means less room at the stem to accommodate thickness of the Blendmount's clamp. The clamp is thinner at the open side, so folks have been able to flip it around (open end to the left) to gain clearance. But, this may not work for everyone because of seating position and how far their mirror is angled.

Thank you. I'm 6'2" so I do sit back pretty far. To confirm then, are you saying the BMG-3032 could work or is there a better mount model?
