Yeah, I use the Houston SC. Seems like the truck stays parked for a minimum of 1 week before they even look at it. But I'm glad they have the on site rental car option now. It was a nightmare dealing with their roundabout Enterprise rental arrangement.@a99ieJem based on your name we use the same SC. I hope this is not an annual repair. As a TX resident did you buy RIVNCare?
I absolutely love the r1t and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do next.I hate this for you. Seems like Rivian should have done more testing in the south
Keep me updated. Hopefully an issue addressed 4x qualifies for warranty work.I absolutely love the r1t and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do next.
If they don't cover this repair under some form of extended warranty... hate to even think what my next steps would have to be.
The only other vehicle that even comes close to checking these boxes is still in development by Scout.. maybe taycan?
The scarier issue is, the battery failure because of these leaks. That would be a tremendous bill out of warranty
It used to be people would keep a vehicle a long time after paying off to break even. These trucks will break YOU if you keep them out of warranty, unfortunately.Keep me updated. Hopefully an issue addressed 4x qualifies for warranty work.
Originally I wanted this car for 10+ years but I may only keep for the warranty period unless rivianCare is offered in La.
I feel for you! I wish Toyota would put out an ev Tacoma/tundra lolI didn’t have the wet floor board issue till Rivian replaced the drain voluntarily. 3 months later I have to put a fan on the front seat when I get home everyday to dry things out for the next day. Mold growing on the bottom of my all weather floor mats. San Antonio service center was booked out 4 weeks but it goes in next week.
I’ve never had a vehicle that has had to go into service as much as this one. 39K miles right now and I can’t justify keeping it past the warranty period. Biggest problem is I don’t really want any other vehicle. I think the Scout will be another early adopter nightmare. I like the Gravity except for the way it looks and Lucid seems to have as many issues as Rivian. I may go back to ICE.
VIN out of curiosity?Just had it happen for the 2nd time for me. It was in service 7 months ago for the same issue. Rivian pushed me to the front of the line for service. Luckily, I caught it earlier than last time (When I got in and it smelled, I knew) and was able to suck up most of the water. Just a little bit of white mold near the passenger door sill.
I really enjoy the truck - but it's closing in on being a lemon (in my state, at least). But hey, at least I'll have new carpet and a new HVAC system (again).
You must've gotten the good batch right before me. 2023 Quad R1T, 195XXVIN out of curiosity?
2023 R1T 189XX and haven't had this issue, fortunately, but my friend has a later model 2023 Quad R1S that had this repaired spring or summer if I recall correctly.
