Not to mention, it would actually be a negative for them. Rivian currently has a couple of comma units themselves. They use this just like manufacturers buying other manf vehicles to reverse engineer. Also, if you've ever read the warranty terms, you'll see Rivian wants to deny you warranty at any chance it can get. Allowing the use of the comma on an aging platform gives them ample excuse to blame it and deny service.

Congratulations!

If you ordered the Rivian A harness along with the Comma 4, you should have all you need for the basic setup.

A more advanced setup would be adding Lukas' longitudinal upgrade kit so that the Comma can have longitudinal as well as lateral, rather than relying on the Rivian's built-in cruise control for longitudinal.

It's also worth looking into using a fusetap for power, rather than using the harness to pull power from the AXM, which has the potential to cause problems down the road.

As Kaos mentioned, they JUST released a brand new product (the Comma 4). That being said, I expect them to get caught up on their shipping backlog much faster than 12 weeks.

Oh that's a bummer. Thanks for reminding me to update the thread here, I do appreciate that.

Something to consider - many current Comma 3X owners purchased or are planning to purchase the Comma 4 and are/will be looking to sell their used 3X. It's like buying a used newer car, they eat the depreciation that way .
