There's always the next house to get it right. May I suggest a 40'x40' workshop out back? It's a worthwhile investment.
Yep, that's the plan. I'd be happy with 20' x 30'. That would give me plenty of room to have a plasma CNC table.

The garage is 20' x 20', which seems to be "normal" around here.
My garage length is 19 feet (228 inches) and I've seen several other mentions of this specific garage length in relatively modern tract houses, built in say the last 25 years, so your garage size isn't out of wack on that basis.

The R1T is 217 inches so technically it would fit even my garage, but not with room for anything else, including me getting past the front or back of the vehicle with the garage door down. The R1S at 200 inches is a bit better, but its one reason why R2 or a similar size vehicle makes more sense for me too, since I want to garage it for V2x use amongst other reasons.

Fortunately, All the V4 chargers have longer cords so you can just drive straight in. I heard V3 chargers will be getting the same eventually.
I was pleasantly surprised that both Superchargers I stopped at on my last two road trips in SoCal had been upgraded to V4 cabinets. I know there's still plenty of short cords out there but they do seem to be making good progress on this.

I've also seen quite a few V3 short cable chargers with re-stripped parking lines so that it's possible to only take up one space.

That's actually my most common experience with Tesla Superchargers where I'm at.

Also - I would LOVE an operable roof - even secondary market
A moon roof would be awesome. I had one on every car I owned until my Model 3 .
Yes, I know there will be a one piece glass panel roof. But a boy can dream.

I'm looking forward to the V2H ability.
If the R2 can provide backup power to my house during an grid outage, it'll drastically change the economics of the purchase. I installed solar panels a few years ago, and was told at the time that backup batteries would add about $30K to the system. So if the R2 costs me $50K, it'll kinda be like getting a new SUV for $30K plus a home backup system for $20K.

Haptic thumb wheels, small wheels on control stalks instead of toggle switches, roll down back hatch window, better cameras, better UHF, lidar, smaller stance/tighter turns, potentially better service life of suspension, V2H, better overall efficiency, roomy back seat. And hopefully a more mature vehicle with fewer service visits than my G1 R1T.

What is shown seems to just be two additional outlets available, 120v, but MAYBE there will be another adaptor for V2H.. somehow, I doubt it.

Being able to use R2 as a power backup for my house. Also the adaptive headlights. It will be nice to drive with my brights on without blinding people. And just owning an EV. Can't wait to prove all the people in my life that think EVs suck wrong.
