That "AI" sure changed more than the color:

• the Driver
• Number of and shape of the headlight elements
• Logo on the hood
• the wheels in their entirety
• door handles
• reflections in the windows

Are we sure those are just vinyl stickers? I mean, maybe they are because even the Deep Silver Metallic R2 at the auto shows was just a wrap. At least at first.

I’m hoping they have a variety of colors, but if they’re trying to mass produce and scale having a limited palette makes more sense. There will always be limited additions in the future though.

Not "sure" but I think it's most likely those are silver/gray examples with a few accent color vinyls applied. Seems like all the examples we've seen that are possibly painted have been silver/gray. Painting them the same color makes sense from a prototype or pre-production standpoint.

There's still hope that some more borealis will appear in the R1 Shop. When borealis disappeared from the configurator, the R1 Shop showed no R1T available and only a coupe of R1S with black mountain/brown ash wood. Last week, one R1T appeared in the shop, and a couple days ago an R1S with ocean coast/driftwood and 22" super sport (one I was looking for) also appeared. I'm taking the R1S and trading in my R1T Tri motor, with delivery in three days.
