I don't think there was ever an official name, as it was just on the R3X concept. So it could have been custom.

Surprised by having 21s and low profile ish tires on an SUV touted for off road ability and large ground clearance.

Better range numbers. Only reason for them to do it. I wouldn't really call 50s low profile though.

Weirdly no. They need to fix this. The colors are all so similar aside from white and purple, it’s hard to tell (4 neutrals, 3 greens, and a purple).

No and you can see that if you visit the R2 page. However, there are numerous videos for SXSW on YT and shared here, of almost all colors. Each car at SXSW has a banner next to them with corresponding paint names. You can then visually correlate between what is in the videos and what is shown in still photography at the site.

The videos provide more accurate sense of color than color chips, since they are metallic paints and can look very different pending environment and lighting. Borealis Purple, for instance, can look almost full black in the shade, or like Barney in the sun.

Seeing the Catalina Cove in the SXSW videos made up my mind on the color. It looks amazing in those videos... much better than the pictures.

Rivian R2 needs an Antelope Canyon Orange imo.

I think the average wrap for a crossover SUV is like $3,500-$4,000. I’m not sure if that includes labor or not. Ive read about self-healing polyurethane wraps costing upwards of $8,000. I’ve never gotten my car wrapped before though.

Most people are putting thousands down and/or spending thousands in taxes, so the thought of spending thousands more on a vinyl wrap just to change the color might be a step too far. The OEM paint options are usually cheaper than this. Rivian’s color options for a full-size SUV are between $1,950 and $3,000, the latter of which is too high in my opinion.
