Setting sun, not exactly brightest time of day. It's a metallic paint and, doing what metallic paints do, vary vastly pending the environment it is in. There's also the image processing of the camera being used, the compression of the file being saved and then compressed again when uplaoded/shared on various online platforms, and then color calibration of the display you are viewing with. One single original image can end up very different to different viewers.

Preprod. In before someone else mentions these panel gaps. Hope they tighten this up in prod.

Still haven't seen DOT approval so maybe part of the process to have temp tags like these until approved.

Nope... those are the same color style of manufacture plate my neighbor has on his company test vehicle..... R1 test vehicle that is.

At the R2 event today in Denver. Sharing for panel alignment comparison.

Really enjoyed sitting in it and playing with the new steering wheel controls - single biggest point of envy for me coming from the R1.

Tesla changed consumer tolerance of uneven panel gaps. It's stuff only Sandy Munro fetishes over. Most people don't care anymore. They don't see it from the driver seat. And Rivian interiors are better put together than Teslas. And that's what most Tesla owners notice and give praise.
