I had my (21”) tires rotated today for the second time at my local shop (I have a set of 1EV lift pucks). No noticeable wear. Probably 75% of the miles in Conserve mode on the highway. Other than that, I use it like a truck in all-purpose, I haul stuff, and tow stuff,, including an 8,000 pound...
I had mobile service replace the passenger side DRL/headlight/turn signal assembly. VIN 77xx, in service since June 2022 It started doing the “fast blink” for right turns while on a trip in late March. Confirmed the rear signal was blinking but the front was not. Sometimes it blinked orange once...
Ah, yes, riding on sunshine! As it’s springtime (bright sun, increasing angle as we move toward solstice, coolish morning temps = high production), our rooftop solar+storage makes so much power that over a few bright days (without a long trip) we fill the Rivian and the Bolt as well as the two...
I got the 10.1 update notice and installed it yesterday 3/26. Haven’t done much with it since, but I did notice that from 10pm 3/26 to 9am 3/27 (11 hours), it claimed to only lose 1 mile of range. Had been 1% to 2% per day prior to that. One thing mentioned in the notes was change to phone as a...
I had a mobile visit on March 16 (to Emerald Isle, NC) for the recall and a gear tunnel entrapment switch replacement. No hesitation at all from service to schedule. When tech left, he was headed to Kitty Hawk, he said…hope this doesn’t jinx me ?
Sounds great. I did a trip like that (ICE of course) in the late 90’s, beautiful country. Went to L’Anse aux Meadows…
I’ll be interested in following your report. I’ve seen as you that it looks like DCFC should not be an issue.

Just simple shoutout of kudos for Rivian mobile service. I needed the seat sensor recall done, and the driver’s side gear tunnel entrapment release threw an error about once per month (I’ve had my R1T since June). I called a week ago, dispatch said they came to my area on Thursdays, and gave me...
62.5 kW in Boone is at Blue Ridge Energy (the local power company) they have a very nice lobby and restroom to wait, and like to talk with folks about EVs. When I charged there in July, it worked well., and very cheap…8 cents per kWh off hours and 16 cents peak. It’s on the ChargePoint network.
Replying to my own message, to close the loop, no issues getting tire rotation done at the local tire shop in early January, they said if you have lift pucks, no worry….and if anyone wonders, at 6,000 miles there was no discernible difference in tire wear, per the tech (probably 75% of miles in...
I live on an island off the NC coast. The DOT is working on our bridge. It’s not closed, just alternating lane closures. The Rivian Nav thinks it is permanently closed…Apple and Google seem to understand ?
I launch my boat with no problems, easier than the Silverado. Boat is a Boston Whaler 235 Conquest with a Mercury Verado 250, dry weight about 4500, so with 120 gallons of gas and gear, plus the 1500 pound trailer, so figure 7000+ pounds….press park and it sticks!
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we are familiar with pop ups, having had two them historically. We pulled one from NC to the Grand Canyon a minivan ?, from NC to Newfoundland with that same minivan, and from NC to Yellowstone, but that was with a Yukon. That was with 2 boys. My wife and I travel...
Agreed, I’m just looking for anecdotal evidence. When I pull my 24’ Boston Whaler, a walkaround that blocks a lot of air ? (just took it in for winter service), I get about 1.2 m/kWh pulling a 5000 pound boat and motor on a 2000 pound trailer
I took my R1T to the local shop a couple weeks ago, with my early adopter 1EV pucks. They said no problem, if you have the pucks they can rotate…FWIW I did a 4 tire rotation and left the spare stored…

My wife and I are considering small campers. We’ve tossed out teardrops and clamshells…as we were browsing an RV lot today, I wondered if anyone in the group had any experience with a popup. These are not “air movers” as they are about the same height as the truck bed. We’ve looked at several...
I have a 2020 Bolt, and I got my Rivian in June of 2022. About 1000 miles per month each. Bolt averages close to 4 miles per kWh and the R1T 2.5 (soft foot!). In 2022 (1/2 year with Rivian) I put 3.7 MWh in AT HOME. The rest was at DCFC on the road, or at my son’s house when we visit. Are you...
