Hey all — curious if others have run into this.
I have a 2022 R1T and had my 12V battery replaced in Dec 2024. Just got a notification again this month (April 2026) saying it needs to be replaced… so barely ~16 months later.
What’s throwing me off:
Is this normal?? It feels kind of crazy to be replacing a 12V battery this often.
I’ve seen some chatter about 12V issues on these trucks, but wasn’t sure if repeat failures like this are common or if something else might be going on (parasitic drain, software, etc.).
Has anyone else had:

What’s throwing me off:
- I don’t drive the truck that much. I have ~27k miles
- No obvious issues lately
- Now it’s out of warranty, so I’m assuming I’ll have to pay

Has anyone else had:
- Multiple 12V replacements in a short time?
- Been charged out of warranty for it?
- Found a root cause beyond just “bad battery”?
