Please can you put a number on the efficiency improvement between the Goodyear ATs and the Pirelli ATs?The Goodyear Rivian has 2 tread plies.

Off-road performance was a consideration in the Goodyear design, but efficiency was a higher priority than extreme off-road performance. I think the majority of customers will be very happy with the balance of performance and efficiency.
Goodyear and other tire manufacturers may warranty OE tires in the future. But in my personal opinion, it is likely that more tire manufacturers will follow the majority trend and not offer warranties on tires designed for OE fitments. It will be interesting to see what the future holds.
This question is not likely to get a truly useful answer. The OE Pirelli ATs and these Goodyears are not the same size. While you can apply a conversion factor based on roll-out, it's still not really going to be an apples-to-apples comparison. Please can you put a number on the efficiency improvement between the Goodyear ATs and the Pirelli ATs?
Hello, I only had the Pirelli's for a limited number of miles. In my experience, the efficiency has been better with the Goodyear tires on my R1T, but it is not an apples to apples comparison due to the limited miles on the Pirelli tires. Please can you put a number on the efficiency improvement between the Goodyear ATs and the Pirelli ATs?
I found my answer at Rivian website.Hello, I only had the Pirelli's for a limited number of miles. In my experience, the efficiency has been better with the Goodyear tires on my R1T, but it is not an apples to apples comparison due to the limited miles on the Pirelli tires.
Any updates on this? It would be lovely to keep stock size and accuracy of the speedo/efficiency with an A/S tire. I have life left in my ATs at 20K mi but I hate how loud they are.Hey an update in case it's not already out there. I chatted with Michelin on their website about the 275/65/20 Defender LTX MS2 and they said this...
"Yes, we are making defender LTX M/S2 tire with extra load Mud and snow rated and it is EV compatible, and it will be launched on 1st december 2024 "
They are coming out Dec 1st.Any updates on this? It would be lovely to keep stock size and accuracy of the speedo/efficiency with an A/S tire. I have life left in my ATs at 20K mi but I hate how loud they are.
I suspect this will be a very popular option for the R1sThey are coming out Dec 1st.
I’m holding out for the Dec 1 release in stock size. I think we have at least 10K miles of life left if I need to wait. The noise noise noise but I absolutely refuse to add artificial mileage to an in-warranty vehicle by going to the 60s. It’s a deal-breaker for me. And it’s completely stupid Rivian will not allow an adjustment in the software for the tire size changes - virtually all other MFRs do.Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 275/60/R20 XL 116H - $1285 out the door. 2 weeks ago.
I was waiting for the 116H & the 60/R20 fit my wants. It's 1/2-inch easier for my wife to get in.
These are all season, not all terrain.
I expect that by the time my new Michelins are old,
Michelin will have the OEM size & I can go back to 275/65/R20 XL 116 H.
