I wish Rivian would add gear guard video upload to Amazon Photo while on WiFi using the Amazon Alexa login.

I do not have mine scheduled for auto-update but I’m guessing your last update was on a Tuesday and there is a bug in the app that once it fills in the variable to apply the next update, there is no sub-routine to clear those variables once the OTA is applied.

If you toggle the auto-update off, then toggle it back on I would be surprised if it does not clear those values.

Tried that first, it remains, but oh well, minor bug.

For those unfamiliar (and new to Rivian). What's the anticipated release date for this update? End of December? Assuming regular release timing.

Tough to say, usually it is 7 to 14 days after we see it hit ElectraFi, so far we are only seeing the G1 version, have not seen any G2 drop yet so may be a little more time yet.

Canadians like it cold, and my cabin temperature is also 16 degrees after the day ’warmed up’ to 12 degrees here in the North Bay Area.

No, it's pretty easy to say. It's going to be 4 weeks after the previous one, give or take a few days. It's been this way for three years now*, and the only disruption of that schedule was because of the Gen2 rollout over the summer.

By that metric expect it no sooner than 20 Dec. Since early in the week is more typical, maybe 23 Dec. But that's pushing it towards Christmas, so perhaps end of the previous week is more likely. As I said, plus or minus, for reasons neither of us is likely to every know.

Regardless, futile to make predictions of the exact date. And estimating things based on when they show up on a third-party site is far less reliable than just counting 4 weeks from the previous release. Use primary sources when available, not secondary sources like ElectraFi.

*The exception is they take a break over the holidays, so the first release of the year is never exactly 4 weeks after the last release of the previous year - more like 6 weeks.

I’ve always been pushing for SXM, casting and text integration, however, lately in my 2023 dual max R1T I have been having some serious lag issues with UI. Backup camera is slow to pop up, changing temperature has a lag to change degrees numbers, even when I put the truck in park it takes 2-3 seconds to pull up the car access menu that always pops up.
Please fix the lag with this update.

(I already did soft and hard reboot of truck)
