Damn, that is awesome. It even has the tires brand? What was your original config?
My understanding is it only has the wheels and tires originally available from Rivian. So any of the AT wheels can match up with either the OE scorpion ATs in 275/65/20 or Goodyear Territory AT 275/60/20. The vehicle I took the photo from was born as a 2022 RIT with AT darks and 275/65/20 scorpions.

I'm very disappointed that @Rivian has seemingly fully abandoned Gen 1 Driver+. This is an area where they overpromised and vastly under delivered.

Do you still own a Rivian? If so, why? All you do is complain. If I hated my vehicle that much I would have sold it a long time ago and I sure as hell wouldn’t be hanging out on the forums.
Haha. He’s obviously got a short position.

It's still 100% MobileEye for now. They left themselves some extra compute overhead and a way to take over ADAS but so far it seems like they have not moved in that direction.

The features they are announcing are part of the currently installed MobileEye SuperVision:

Yeah I could have clarified haha... A dual system, meaning it has two systems. Not that it's currently using both to drive.

On that note, I actually did some experimentation to confirm exactly how much control mobile eye has. More to be posted later ; ?

I’m feeling the same way. Very few things have disappointed me about my rivian experience, but failing to deliver on these features for the early adopters that kept the business afloat and put up with the growing pains is a tough pill to swallow. Maybe it is hardware limited, but if so put out a statement to gen1 owners that explains the rationale.

They had me at "side mirror reverse auto tilt"

Please don't make the stereo worse, I was just beginning to like it and felt it had been sound great lately for ²R1T³
I still don't understand why this is a thing, there are cameras that turn on (automatically) and show you exactly what you need in reverse all the way down to the wheels and how close they are to a curb?

At the end of the day I'm glad they added this feature because clearly folks want it and I appreciate Rivian listening to their customers, so happy to see people happy about it, I just don't see a need for it.

In the days before surround cameras I thought it was great. But the other day I was in my Mom's 2015 Grand cherokee with this feature and it annoyed me greatly. I felt like I couldn't see what I wanted to see while backing out of her very tight garage.

Doesn't it already do this if in adaptative cruise? Or does the adaptive cruise shut when the car stops? (I don't drive near stop lights so I forget).
No. In adaptive cruise it will start moving forward. This sounds like a chime to alert you that traffic has moved ahead if you've spaced out or (more likely) are looking at your phone. I really missed this feature when I got my Rivian.

On a related note, adaptive cruise is pretty disappointing in stop and go traffic because, if traffic stops for more than a short period of time (30 secs or so) it simply turns itself off, which is annoying.

So did you just "feel like you couldn't see", but actually could see everything you needed? I'm not trying to be a smartass here. Getting used to reverse cameras took me some time too as there was this "I just don't trust it feeling", but now I have no doubts and look at the screen and haven't once ever hit something like a curb.

Maybe once this update hits I'll turn the auto tilt on and back up to a curb to take a picture with my phone of what I see in the mirror compared to what I see on the screen from the camera for a side by side comparison. I'm just thinking there won't be much, if any of a difference.

It will start moving, but will also cancel if you sit too long.

I doubt it's hardware, and more that it's something they could put behind a subscription service.
My 2021 FORD Mustang Mach-E (like the Lightning) bluecruise worked so much better than Driver+ and it was non-vertically integrated, less cameras, less sensor. I am not expecting all the features of RAP+ , non-do i care about full "self driving", to me self driving is me driving mySELF where i need to go, but i expect Driver+ to be better and more stable. why isn't there even a resume feature like typical cruise control.

I believe they have done this already. I recall a statement saying that the hardware platform for gen 1 isn’t able to support the advanced ADAS features.
