if there are 3 people in the back seat, there are no cup holders available for them. I would like to see a cup holder that clips on the the hook on the back of the front seats.

Technically the odometer isn't on the dashboard. ;) It's buried in the UI. 18,910mileand 21-ish months. (2024 R1S Dual)

Product Ideas:

  1. Slide out storage bin in speaker dock location
  2. USB power for the front cabin, tie into the OBD11 and have USB on the dash or under the vents.
  3. Slide-out storage bins for R1S under the rear seats.
  4. Insulated cooler that fits the spare tire well.

28,000 on a 2025 R1T Tri. I’d like to see something that extends out from inside the gear tunnel interior door and gives you options for mounting a back seat table, cupholders, media mounting, etc. It also easily folds back and stores back into the gear tunnel and disappears when the door is shut. It would take the place of the backseat cupholders and also still be an arm rest.

R1S is hitting 22000 in 22 months =).

Not sure how big of a market this is but I would like a nice desk to use in the front passenger or rear seats when I do my Rivian Mobile Office Space.

84k here on a '22 LE R1T .....

I will second the desk request - not something that is hooked on the steering wheel, but something that perhaps connects between the center vents and the center console level with the center arm rest.

I still have just under 6K miles on my R1T, but loving it so far.

A suggested modification to your bin products with the coin trays. Currently, when you try to place coins in your coin trays, they do not exactly fit the diameter of US currency and they will roll around and fall out of the tray, especially if the tray only as a few coins in it.

Nissan has a nice integrated coin holder in the center console that holds Quarters, dimes and nickels at about a 70 degree angle, such that when you drop the coin in the holding slot, they stack up at an angle such that you can easily reach down and pull them up one at a time. This design holds the coins secure and it's super easy to add or remove the coins one at a time, counting as you go. In addition, it is an elegantly simple design, with no springs or mechanisms, just shaped plastic.

This is so handy to have, but I have not been able to find a third-party product anywhere that is as ingenious, simple or effective as this type of design. Is this something your engineers could tackle?

Thanks

71,500 will be right at 3 years on the 23rd of Feb! Been amazing so far!
I’d say a good product idea would be a better organization/divider system for the storage under the rear seat of the R1T.

An elevated wireless charging pad that angles the top of the phone up so you can see your screen when you glance down without having to pickup the phone.

Someone needs to make weather guards (rain deflectors) for the side windows of the R1S.

Why these only exist for the R1T is beyond me! (And my wife is unhappy about it)

Come on Best EV Mod, get these in production and we'll be your first order ;) !!

Quite odd they still don't. Rivian sold more R1Ss than Ts.

  • Revised latches for the plastic internal doors on the R1T Gear Tunnel Doors.
    • Rivian factory latches suck.
    • Magnet maybe?
  • Door "poppers" for the Gear Tunnel Doors. Rivians suck.
    • Magnets were used in a thread on here.
    • I would buy a "kit" from someone to make this work.
  • Retrofit kit to make vents manual
    • Take dash apart, remove stepper, add little plastic pieces to control direction.
  • Quick Release system for rear hitch wind deflector panel thing.
    • I hate those 1/4 turn screws. Can't ever seem to get them to work right.
  • Semi-Rigid bed cover net thing.
    • Something lighter than a tonneau cover that folds into a bag/pouch.
  • Custom gear tunnel shaped cooler that is easily accessible through the pass through
    • Road trips would be much easier if we had a better cooler there.
  • For the 2nd gen peeps
    • Mechanical Interior Door Handle retrofit kit
    • I have to think the 1G trim panels will fit the 2G trucks.
    • Just need a retrofit "kit" from a vendor, and a parts list of what to buy from Rivian.
  • Other Accessories I've already bought
    • Center console (under armrest) upper organizer tray
    • Camp Speaker drawer
    • Running boards (I got EVBase ones, they're just OK. A low cost acceptable quality kit would sell well I think)
    • Jack Pucks
    • TuxMats
Here's the current mileage. Averaging just under 63mi/day with this thing.
