Have any proof instead of your usual Tesla Stan rhetoric?
Oh you mean the Tesla I haven’t had to reboot in almost 10k miles compared to the Rivian that needs it weekly? But it’s cool. Your crappy software engineer has been busy making costumes for a parked car….. keep on wondering why you lost your butt on your stock?

anyways I think it was CR which we can take with a grain of salt, but still doesn’t look good

Please ensure to include both of mine in your studies. With over 2 years and 25k miles with only 1 service visit (R1S washer spray line pinched) that fix was completed in my garage.

Sorry to hear your experience has been much worse than mine.
I’m ok with a car having issues. It’s mechanical. I get it. But waiting 3+ months to even get it in to be fixed? Cmon man

Oh no how do you live your life having to press and hold two buttons and take 2 min out of your week. Maybe we should all start a gofundme to cover your suffering.

I also didn’t lose any money on the stock. You are so bitter over owning a Rivian it’s not healthy. At least you don’t have people pointing and laughing at you or flipping you off as you drive down the road like you would in a CT.

Why do you even post here?

I'm not even reading this fully, but I see it's all about range with you.

My Rivian spends 99% of it's life between 40 - 70%. I enjoy fast, smooth, low carbon rides. You'll never sell me on any perks of ICE ownership. ICE vehicles are slow, loud and just miserable.

You need to focus on home ownership before worrying about anything else. If you do own a home and you still maintain the position above, you're just a troll who doesn't own a Rivian.
I was responding to your comment that the only advantage ICE has is towing. Was that not obvious? You don't like when I question your comment? That's fine, but maybe back up your opinion instead of making personal attacks.

I happen to own two homes, one a primary residence and one vacation home. So how exactly do you think that's at all relevant to this discussion?

Hmm… one thing you have to keep in mind is that the East Coast EV infra, specifically New England, is very different from the West Coast. It’s really not as easy here as it is there. Want to go to upstate NY or Vermont for the weekend? It’s a bit more difficult than going from SF to LA. So yeah, there is a clear group of people (myself included now, although for different reasons) that “go back to ICE” after EV.
Yeah I agree actually. In my experience once the options were there it made all the sense in the world. The effort is there to keep adding chargers though. So all things in time really.

I have the r1s large pack with 351 miles of stated range. I drove from my house to Mt. Shasta where teh RAN charger is on a single charge and arrived with around 60 miles of range left. So 255 miles of driving on google maps and 60 miles of range left. This was almost 4 hours of driving too so from my experience the range issue just didn't exist on a road trip when the infra structure was there. I get the worry people have for sure, I really over thought this trip myself planning out every charging stop. Finally doing it I realized there are chargers everywhere on the west coast and even a fast 15 minute stop to use the bathroom is enough time to keep the range topped up. I did a few stops like this where I just plugged in and ran into the bathroom and to grab a drink and came back to another 50, 60 or 70 miles of range.

I'd just say the experience is different more than anything. I wouldn't say its that much harder or easier honestly. It was different.
That's not bad....so you would have gotten maybe 300 miles on your trip if you ran the battery down pretty low. That's honestly not bad at all for highway driving, but in my experience it's very difficult to get anywhere near the EPA rated range on a highway trip and even more difficult during cold winter months where range drops. I've been there and done that and it hasn't been a great experience.

Yeah honestly I thought it was great. I didn't even regret not having the Max pack. In the end I would've stopped at the same spot for lunch anyways and just had slightly more range when I did. The experience wouldve been exactly the same honestly. I also was going from sea level to a mountain so that will always impact range. Honestly my old Subaru went about that far on a road trip before needing gas too so things again were not that different.

So weird that we have people without Rivian's constantly filling this board with garbage.
Owning a Rivian isn't a prerequisite to posting on this forum. And that's actually a good thing whether or not you believe it. That said, your opinion of "garbage" is obviously different than mine.

Maybe you can ask the admin for a locked subforum for Rivian owners only and then you can all sing Kumbaya while wearing your rose-colored glasses.

As for me, I'll continue to read and contribute here. And if I somehow offend someone because I'm not a Rivian fanboy, well, that's their problem. I like Rivians and I still might buy one, just not yet. If I had no interest at all, I wouldn't be here reading the forum.

If I only had the Brooklyn SC as an option I might feel differently about mine as well. Wishing you luck with whatever is next!

LOL, it's kind of refreshing to see some infighting among EV brands instead of the usual EV vs ICE stuff that's so prevalent here.

I'm still waiting for someone to make the perfect vehicle. But that's never going to happen. Buy what you like and enjoy it. There will eventually be headaches with any vehicle if you keep it long enough, and some if you keep them even a short time. LIfe is too short to worry about it though...

I'll give you credit for coming up with two things instead of one. My list is bigger though, but we can just leave it at that to avoid further ruffling any feathers. ;)

tbf, home charging is what sealed it on an EV for me. I was leery of the whole experience going in. Read everything I could and anticipated a ton of drama. In reality, I don't even think about range or where to top off anymore. Even destination chargers (often free) at hotels, parks, etc have been a nice perk. The experience is pretty darn close to "get in and drive" I had with ICE and home charger is a big, big reason. Unless it's a specific fun car (something turbo with a manual), I am good sticking with EV.

Nothing wrong with hanging out here and learning. If you're "EV curious" - just get a used Model 3 and try it out. Hertz sells used ones for $25k

And the good part for OP is Stellantis is known for reliability.
except when you have your jeep sitting in a lot for 5 months waiting on a catalytic converter. Loved my Jeep, it was the best vehicle i had ever owned till i got my rivian. good luck OP hope you have better luck than I did, wagonner looks cool but too big for an suv IMO, 200" is my limit for an suv and 217" for a truck.
