The Rivian kit, and your photo show a 15 amp 110 and a 50 amp 240 plug, nothing for 30 amp RV (three blades at an angle).

For those interested in a truly capable gorilla charge kit, I use and recommend the Tesla mobile EVSE with their NEMA kit. Extremely powerful and flexible.

Which adapter do you recommend using to connect the Tesla mobile connector to the Rivian in this situation?

I recommend a TeslaTap; which should be in every Rivian already anyway, to take advantage of the ubiquitous Tesla destination chargers out there.

Lectron makes one for cheaper. They are not American made, so some don't like them, but I have never heard anybody have a problem with them.

I am a cheapster by nature and had the Lectron as I figured the TeslaTap Mini was more form than function. I purchased one and won't go back after using both.

If you are looking, keep an eye out on eBay as the seller many times has discounted units for cheaper than what is on his site (maybe returns?). Also get the 80A unit, there are stories of issues with the lower rated mini units on the Rivian.

It does not. It is for use with the Tesla mobile EVSE, which I recommend for any EV driver. The available NEMA kit is only one of a dozen reasons to use the Tesla unit.
So the Tesla NEMA adapter kit, the Tesla mobile EVSE, and the 80A TeslaTap, amiright? Yikes. Might as well just have bought a Tesla. ??

Look at it this way;

All EVs should have a Tesla tap in them anyway, because there are just so many Tesla destination chargers out there. Not being able to use them seems kind of silly, right? So write that off as a purchase you would make anyway.

Next, let's go with the NEMA kit. If you extrapolate out all the adapters you get, they're actually a pretty good deal compared to what you would get one by one trying to put that kit together. Again, a win.

The final piece of the puzzle is the Tesla mobile EVSE. It has a long history of reliability and is bulletproof, where many other brands (to include Rivian) not so much. Just one of many examples I can give you, is that half the time with the shoddy wiring in Mexico, the Rivian EVSE just errors out and refuses to work. The Tesla unit will actually test the circuits, and whereas sometimes it backs power down, more often than not I can charge the vehicle.

I am an adventurer, and am a strong believer that good kit can save the day. Having a high quality unit that can plug into any outlet in North America qualifies as good kit to me.

I have a similar plug to use 30A RV sites with my Rivian portable charger. This is the one I have,

https://www.amazon.com/ONETAK-Charger-Compatible-Connector-Connecter/dp/B07XNSXWM4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=K0PVBFOVWAFW&keywords=rv/ev+adapter&qid=1701723607&sprefix=rv/ev+adapte,aps,108&sr=8-5

I got about 5 miles per hour with the setup. NOT an electronic expert by any means, but I believe the plug was NOT designed to be used with RVs and specifically ONLY EV chargers.

At the newer sites where I could plug 50A AND 30A at same time, I used the 30A on the travel trailer and 50A for the Rivian. This was the ideal setup, but only the newest/upgraded cites had the option. All the others were EITHER 30A or 50A.
I liked this one best after shopping on Amazon. Thank you for suggesting !!!

Hummm. I'm not saying you're wrong. But just pricing out all those items it's like... $1000? I've never seen a Tesla "destination charger" in my life. As jealous as I am of all the folks on here "taking adventures", my life is 99.999% highway traffic within 75 miles of my home. I drive my route, I come home, I plug in in my garage. So these items would probably just collect dust, for my lifestyle.

But definitely a good discussion to have and nice to see what other tools folks carry in their charging tools basket. ?

Set up is perfect- use the 240 adapter in the Rivian stock kit, plug one end into the mobile charger and the other end into the yellow RV adapter. Now, plug into a standard RV charging station and good to go!!
