Canadian delivery timeframe

I've canceled my preorder, Rivian is highly unlikely to open a service centre here within the next five years. Tesla doesn't even have their own facility here. They rent a bay in another shop.

Seems like if you are anywhere other than B.C you are getting pushed for the most part.

Likely the case - yes. I am on Vancouver Island and my Dec 2018 LE R1S order went from "1h2023" to Feb-Mar 2023. My 2021 R1T (Adv) order is *also* apparently Feb-Mar 2023 (never had a July update for this one).

So either I am Feb/Mar because of being on Vancouver Island (ferry ride from service center) - or there is a def delay on R1S vs R1T given that my pre-orders are 2.5 years apart but are slated for delivery at the same time.

Will be curious to see if anyone else in BC has an R1S that is earlier than Feb.

What nonsense. Mine says they’ll let me know Jan 2023 what my window is. So much for the guaranteed 2022 delivery. This is a nightmare indeed. Happy Halloween.

At least they are finally being realistic about the lack of service centers in Canada. But frustrating they waited this long to admit it.

Oh man, hate to see you leave. But yeah I would have done the same if it wasn't for the free pre-order I am sitting on.

Also, I am starting to appreciate and enjoy the Model S I picked up which I wasn't going to.
So who knows if I would even want the R8vian.

That's disappointing. I've enjoyed your posts for a long time, hope you stick around but I know I wouldn't if I canceled. Understandable why you did, though. Bummer.

They always knew, but in typical Rivian fashion they announce a delay with a delay.
No wonder the update came EOD Friday, typical Rivian!!

If Tony is following this thread, hopefully he sees how frustrated Canadian order holders are!

I am glad I decided to bite the bullet and pick up the Model S before a bunch of price increases.

Mine has been pushed from this Dec-Jan, to April-June of 23. Adventure, regular pack. I still had the powered tonneau selected and I'm curious if that is the cause for the delay.

I changed the configuration to the manual cover just now. The email states that after making changes to your build your delivery will be updated every three months. If the tonneau is the culprit, I could be waiting three months to find out if I could have had my truck in two months.

FWIW, I had switched from auto to manual a couple of weeks ago and I'm also Apr-Jun. Looks like that's the window for us in or (whatever they deem to be) close to the Richmond SC.
