Charging slowed… warm plug

my Tesla on the same universal wall connector? NEVER gives me an error and I’m in AZ where my garage is over 100 degrees at night. It’s just something we have to deal with in the rivian world

This happened all the time when I used my wifes Tesla charger, and an adapter. Hasn't happened once when using my new Grizzl-e classic.

It de-rates amperage by design from a SW update earlier this year (you probably knew that).

Is it in direct sunlight by chance? If not, there may be something awry.

Mine is definitely not doing this.

The charge rate slows after about an hour to around 7kw…15 mi/hr….the plug is 120°. It is charging in a climate-controlled garage, with a Rivian wall charger.

I have a Grizzi-e classic as well and randomly get warm plug warnings when temps are in the 70s. It hasn’t happened in a while. Seemed to stop after the last update. It doesn’t seem related to temps. One possibility is to check for loose connections in your panel from heat cycling.

Definitely there's something wrong with your wall charger. Even in Texas summer when my garage is at ~110F, I got 11.1kw all the way up on my Rivian Wall Charger.
