I have used a Jayco FlowPro Digital Tire Inflator to have 50psi in our R1S 20” AT tires when cold. Currently 50 at 6000’. When I begin driving (after reset) the vehicle is reporting 47psi.

Any others having this discrepancy?

What should the vehicle be reporting after operating when the tires are “warm”?

my TPMS read lower than my tire guage also. Approx 3-4 PSI lower but each one is a bit different.

Yes, my G1 R1S reports -2 to 3 psi for both TPMS and the rear compressor/inflator vs quality handheld gauge. I see only 1-5 psi higher from tpms while driving, but it could be 1psi per 10F tire temp.

Tire pressures will vary based on the device measuring them, ambient temp, is the tire in the sun or shade, and elevation as all can affect readings. I tend to set my tire pressure with a gauge, then note whatever TMPS says and use that as a rough gauge to tire pressure. Even with TPMS, it's still good practice to check your tires monthly.

I too see varying pressures, even if all the same at one point, as much as 3 psi difference between some tires. I seek to keep them over 47 psi and under 54 psi. I live at 5,000 ft. elevation, and drive as low as 200 ft. elevation in a couple hours time. As well, the temps can vairy 40 degrees. I have decided to not over react.

Compressors get very hot and I've seen the pressure drop as the air cools.

my cold PSI is typically spot on or +/- by 0.5 PSI. something seems off about yours. once warm it's anywhere from 3-5 PSI higher depending on outside temps and length of drive.

Same with mine. TPMS seems very accurate compared to gage I use. Highest I've ever seen during a long drive is +4.

With moderate air temps and vehicle parked inside a garage, my gauge reads 48. TPS Reads 48. compressor on the truck reads about 46. Once the vehicle has been driven for a while they warm up to about 50-51. No issues with any of this, just what I'm seeing on mine. ☺

I don't think 1 psi is going to make your truck explode

I'm seeing TPMS readings approx. 3psi less than my gauge and not evenly meaning I see individual tire pressures as much as 2psi different on the TPMS when I'm pretty sure I was within 1psi difference when inflating.
I was doubting my (pretty cheap) gauge but reading through this thread I'm now inclined to believe the gauge over the TPMS.

I inflated my tires with the on board compressor to 48 psi. The TPMS read them as 50 psi. Not sure which to trust.

Tire pressure gauges are a lot like clocks. If you have more than one clock...you really never know what time it is?

I have three different manual tire pressure gauges. They all read very close to each other. The TPS readings on my present R1T (21” tires) consistently run 3 pounds less than the manual gauges. My prior R1T had 20” AT tires and the readings were similar. I live at 7,000 feet and garage the vehicle. I run 50 pounds measured with the manual gauge after the vehicle has set overnight. Tires seem to be wearing evenly.
