Essentially, this will replace the portion of the harness that includes the harness box. The new section will feature an extra plug for an additional Red Panda, giving us access to another bus. That also means we’ll need to run an extra USB-C cable to the secondary port on the Comma.

I feel like there's an open question about whether this is something that is too complicated to build, or could be built with a schematic and soldering skills? I don't mind paying for things, but also want them yesterday. And I like building things.

If you have the skills, I'm all for DIY. But here's a sneak peek at the harness mod. I'll do a full video soon.

It says the video is gone now.

I wouldn't want to mess this up and have a warranty issue or worse. It may require special tools but easy enough to see.

It's pretty easy to install - when you're installing new software on the Comma, just select "Custom Software" instead of "Openpilot" and enter the following path:

lukasloetkolben/rivian-long-sunny
Thank you!

I’ve been installing different branches via the “Custom Software” button but it’s the pathname I’ve been unable to find.

Works great for mine. I was running main fork for a few weeks, just switched to sunny mads prebuilt and enjoying the mads option (have driveb about 2.5 hours with it). Just a note, need to set mads to disable with brake under steering setting (mine was defaulted to not, and I initially couldn't turn mads off at all). Also note, some settings remain greyed out after driving even when back admin park (like it thinks you are still driving, maybe a Rivian thing?), might need to reboot comma to change them.
Prob a Dumb question - what is the URL that you typed into the comma 3x? I’ve had no luck installing Sunny pilot and I’m wondering if I’m missing something with part of the URL.

The two I have tried so far, typed exactly as below:

lukasloetkolben/rivian-long-sunny

sunnypilot/mads-tesla-prebuilt

You're typing it in during the installation stage where you select "Custom Software" instead of "Openpilot"?

Just an FYI - you don't NEED the first part of the URL. Recent update to AGNOS made that unnecessary. You can just type in: lukasloetkolben/rivian-long-sunny

Makes it easier on our fingers.
Thank you all so much for the help! It was a long download, but it did work, now just playing with the settings to get things comfortable. Hopefully I’ll have some helpful feedback based on my experience with this vs stock OP.
