I see a muffler and exhaust as well.

Exhaust would've been a good thing to check for. When I went up to the car, it did have extra framework under the car to hold the cover onto the car.

I think I spot exhaust too. Stainless pipe and exit tucked up near the right rear wheel.

The taillights looks very bronco sport to me. It could be a refresh or that or anther Ford model.

If I wanted to disguise an EV mule I'd tack a muffler on it...

The side mirror has similar design language to rivian's existing model (flat underside with a raised line for the last 1/3rd of the mirror). Really hard to tell otherwise.

My inside source tells me the R2 platform is currently being tested using R1 test mules, retrofitted with R2 drive systems. Also, they have heat pumps... allegedly.....

Body is too tall. Guessing this could be the new Jeep Cherokee.

Roof rails look pretty un-Rivian to me. Two-tier roof isn't very aero. And I think those are protruding door handles. "Rivian" wouldn't be my first guess.

Regardless, simply smelling the thing would tell you whether it was an ICE vehicle, no? And while someone might object to you pulling up the cover, if you were smelling it I'm pretty sure other people would keep their distance. :giggle:

Plenty of companies bring their cars to various types of weather to do testing. Chicago in January would qualify as cold weather testing.

Rivian used F-150 bodies on top of the skateboard platform during testing...so...probably not a Rivian, but anything is possible.
