Oh I feel your pain! I keep hoping my Rivian windshield will hold up long enough for there to be options outside of the service center for replacement. Since I was old enough to drive I've basically replaced my windshields every year or other year on every vehicle.That's good to know. I've lived in CO/ WY for almost 30 years. I think the longest I've ever driven WITHOUT a cracked windshield is like 6 months. I finally replaced the one on my last truck, not because the 4 cracks that had been there over the course of 6 years, but because it had become so sandblasted from these infernal Front Range Winds, that I could no longer see when driving off into the sunset.
OP, don't worry about your windshield suddenly imploding. It's laminated glass.
I don't think it's a ticket a cop would specifically pull you over to give you, but if you got pulled over for something else I've seen it added on if it was bad enough... Kinda BS but it happens.
