Yea i am, I currently use Rob's dividers too, and I have things inserted in vertically so nothing is stacked (easy to see everything from above and grab) with a microfiber taking up the rest of the vertical space above everyhing. It wouldn't be hard to make one extra deep, but I wonder about the usefulness. It would also be too tall for most printers. The base model is already about 193mm tall and sits about 125mm off the floor. One of my goals was to make it super easy to remove to get access to the very bottom, and these https://www.printables.com/model/1070662-rivian-center-console-dividers do fit under this (they're 120mm tall and what I currently use). I'm also not sure how strong these clips would hold something tall... I think you'd want a different solution.
Are you looking at storing something extra tall such that you wouldn't want 3 levels of storage?
Yep! It's pretty close. It's what I used in my crossbar no-whistle photos. Still a bit too yellow, but close enough most folks don't notice. I've been meaning to try California Filament's Golden Yellow PETG too, as that one looks like it might be slightly more orange, which might make it a better match. Hard to tell from the photos I see.Overture PETG yellow is nearly exactly Rivian yellow if you use 4-5 walls.
I''ve been using a lot of the BambuLab PETG HF. It prints about as fast as PLA, with a very nice sort of matte finish. It works well for parts that live inside a car. I also use a lot of Bambu ABS GF which is also nice for these applications, but you need a well ventilated area for printing. These are all PETG. Overture's Army Green on the base and California Filament's Matte Olive Green for the top bin. The black accessories are in Voxelab's Carbon Fiber PETG. I'm still trying to decide what color I want my final, final version to be...
It's 164mm from the floor of the base unit to the lids.I also have a kindle slid into the side, Maybe I can swap it where I put microfiber towel underneath along with other less used stuff. How much clearance is there between the main compartment floor and the armrest lid? is there at least 141mm so I can clear my Kindle?
I can confirm - extra walls and more / better infill makes a huge difference. (4-5X) Over the last 2 months or so, I've gotten really into strength and durability testing, and I've been refining how both are used.Overture PETG yellow is nearly exactly Rivian yellow if you use 4-5 walls.
I *barely* tested Polymaker PLA and thought it was about the same, also.(Overature and Polymaker yellow is basically identical)
Well, Polymaker owns Overture ... so ...I *barely* tested Polymaker PLA and thought it was about the same, also.
That’s odd. I’ve never used BambuSlicer but I imagine they’re all mostly the same. The models are likely just hidden/disabled. You’d see them in the preview greyed out but then they won’t slice. There’s too much to fit on the bed at once so I normally just enable the one model I want to print, disable all the others, then tell it to auto arrange. And by enable/disable I mean hit the eye to make it visible or not.Any tips or tricks to get this to work on Bambu Slicer? I have had my printer for about 6 months now, but this is the first encounter where I can't print anything.
I like those hooks, particularly the front one. Is the file for that shared anywhere?Overture PETG yellow is nearly exactly Rivian yellow if you use 4-5 walls.
