This randomly started today. Sounds like it's somewhere in the dash or steering area (not speaker). Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like the grill in the center of the dash has loosened. See if you can pop it back into place. Happened to me after driving over a number of miles of forest service roads last year.

Thanks, I'll try that. Ironically, I hadn't driven it in a week and the 1st drive back is when it started.

I have similar rattle that sounded like it's coming from the right side of the dashboard. Turned out, it was the center console doors that were loose. Try holding down the center console while driving over bumps and see if that's the source.

Also, check the headliner by where the roof glass starts. It sounds like that when a fastener is loose.

I had something similar and it was the plastic cover right above the petals. I had to wedge some cardboard next to the clip for it to stop

Welcome to the rattle hunt! I chased a rattle forever That I finally found was coming from the horn assembly. Try pushing down on the top of the horn. That is how I found it. I thought it was from the dash initially, but no, it was some loose clip inside the horn.

Oh! And if you’re pushing “in” on the horn and not “down”, you will hear what sounds like a sick donkey…that’s another issue entirely. ?????

Also had center dash rattle. Service truck was great but the initial sound dampeners to the clips was insufficient. Ended up w a new dash panel eventually for the final fix.

Is the new dash panel a different design from the previous?

They've tried to fix my dash rattle 3 times and it never seems to take care of the problem. Frustrating.

Thanks, I will
did you ever get to the bottom of this?

I had it on my Gen 1 and now a quieter version of it on Gen 2 but seems like they're in the same general area. (its not the center dash one that is common - this is more like your video where by the left A pillar or speaker area) - pushing around in spots while driving isn't finding it.

I ended up trading my Gen1 in for a Tri motor and don't have that sound luckily anymore

no problem. I found this thread and it actually fixed the problem (in case anyone else comes here via search)
