Great idea! I did my own when I first got my R1S.

I might if there is interest... I will first see if there is general interest in a product like that to justify further effort and variations + in this case - finding a new supplier and stocking a new material, because as of now we don't work with aluminum. Also, I am not sure how to do these rubber "stripes" to emulate the OEM one, I may need to take one apart to see how it was made.Good idea. Are you going to make metal finished ones to match the Ascend interior?
clip or it didnt happen lolTrue Story, I was on TV in Canada back on the 2000's actually putting one leg behind my head!
Maybe a simpler version (no nubs on top) with something like this applied? It doesn't exactly match the styling, but it's close...I might if there is interest... Hm! Let me look into that to see if I can procure it at a lower price. That might work!Maybe a simpler version (no nubs on top) with something like this applied? It doesn't exactly match the styling, but it's close...

I tried that and it was very hard to install that way...might try again if people report issues. One issue but not sure if it's specific on my Rivian is that the plastic trim on the left of the dead pedal is loose and overlapping the dead pedal. I had to push it pretty hard to jam it under the carpet so I get access to the dead pedal. Is this 3D printed? Perhaps adding a 'hook's on top and/or left side... something to help with install/alignment, and more importantly help keep in in place, should the tape fail for any reason.

I pull over and switch this from my left (resting position) to my right foot (hard acceleration mode)Incidentally, what's everyone doing for when they mash the accelerator and their right leg is suddenly extended past their left?
No idea if VHB will hold on these to be honest@twraps
I HATE the height discrepancy between the dead pedal and the accelerator pedal. Huge miss by Rivian, and I've largely been told I was imagining things when I would post about it. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
Living in the land of snow and salt that is Buffalo, NY; I run the tuxmats all winter and they offer exceptional protection for the floor of the truck. They cover the dead pedal though. SO, either I need to run (2) of these so that I have one for summer and one for winter, or I need the VHB to stick to the tuxmat.
here are the mats I have: https://www.tuxmat.com/products/8854-rivian-r1t-custom-mat
Any idea if the VHB will adhere to a set of Tuxmats?
That's fair. Might pick one up anyway and give it a whirl. No idea if VHB will hold on these to be honest![]()
If it doesn’t work out just ping me and I will send you a return label. Notice that shipping is non refundable though. That's fair. Might pick one up anyway and give it a whirl.
The Tuxmat description says it's a vinyl outer layer, so I'd guess it would stick pretty well, assuming it's cleaned well. That said, since the Tuxmat covers the dead pedal area completely, I would try just putting a piece of wood down under the mat to raise it a bit. I just don't know if it the Tuxmat would not sit flat or if it would eventually settle. Nice mats for those conditions...@twraps
