Perfect, now you DEFINITELY can't put anything in the bed on top of this because our beds are so short (height).
With our size bed, I really dont see the use-case for this. I love the Decked system and had one in my work 2500, but it doesnt seem like a good fit for the Rivian. If you want to keep things secure and dry, just close your cover?

I can totally see uses for it but maybe not for $1600. First thing that comes to mind is if you have something mounted over the bed and want access to gear in the back. No need to take everything else out.

Decked makes a great product, but my R1T has so much storage it might be the only truck I cannot see needing it. For my needs anyway....

My brother in law had a decked system in his Nissan Patrol? (Frontier in New Zealand) and used for his electrical buisness, but also had a canopy over top of the bed for additional storage.

I agree with you that the Rivian doesn't really need it, and I would probably spring for the gear tunnel options similar to this instead. But everyone has different needs as you pointed out.

I was SOooo close to getting a set for my Tacoma. What stopped me was bike transport. I could use crossbars and bike trays to realistically carry 3 bikes, but I can fit 5 or 6 in the bed with a tailgate pad.

@DuckTruck has one under his GFC. Definitely blocks the spare tire well currently (they may change the design later for this). Sure seems like this would make getting into tent a little harder.

Wish I could find more on how complicated the install/removal is, whether it blocks the outlets/compressor, etc. A good video review would go a long way. It sounds like a good combo with a GFC but not if it's gonna be a huge hassle to remove and get to the spare or to carry bikes etc.

Having owned them in the past, this is definitely not something you want to remove often. Personally, if I installed one in the T I would consider the spare tire space non existent anymore.

I have it installed in my R1T if anyone is curious/interested. Ask me any questions you might have.
I have an overlanding YouTube channel and have featured the drawer system in those videos. I also just filmed a truck walk around and will post that soon.
