I honestly thought this was a zombie thread somebody resurrected. All of these are in different displays; play with your buttons, read the manual, and swipe around.
They are, but OP’s question was specifically about the driver display, not the center screen. I agree that it would be great if we could customize the driver display beyond the three cards on the left. Even if it’s just a few options in terms of how much information you want there, without getting granular—that way people who want it uncluttered can keep things simple, while others can get more data. My Ram had a similar setting for the HUD, where I could set one of three options, I think.

I had a Chevrolet rental from Hertz a few years ago, it was either a Suburban or a Tahoe. It had a configurable driver display. You could select different panels as I recall. Maybe someone with a Suburban can comment? I wish Rivian would do something like that.

Wouldn’t it be nice if it was optional (as it is in my Chevy Bolt)?
I’m good adding whatever people want as long as it can be turned off or confined to the far left menu. I like how uncluttered it is now.

I have zero need to see an odometer. The greatest tech advancement was when hiding it became a thing on cars lol. Odometers are great for maintenance and warranty reminders. Not something that needs to be seen daily or weekly even.

As long as we are griping... Some of the gauges are a bit worthless. The mpkwh maxes out at 4.01 even if I'm getting much more. The inclinometers are a complete joke. I think they stop registering at 25 degrees or something. My old 4" lifted 4runner was still stable on 35 degree side slopes regularly. 40 would probably not tip it over. The rivian with such a low cog ought to have an insane roll over angle and the give us 25?

I just want to be able to change the left driver display to show current music playing…
Yes. I have that in my Model S and definitely miss it with my new R1S.

Tell me, without telling me, that you never take your "adventure vehicle" on adventures...

Where is
1) Total miles of the vehicle
2) Trip miles
3) Trip average power
4) Number for instant power output not just graph
1. Totally useless while driving.
2. Mostly useless while driving.
3. On the trip odometer screen.
4. Powertrain screen, since it's really useless other than just fun. BUT, you do have some amount of power indicator on the driver screen. I can't even recall exactly what it does since it's useless.

even my 2017 Chevy Bolt has all this right in front of me.
Makes perfect sense for an old-think company like Chevy that can't get away from 1960s skeuomorphic displays.

It's not 1980, I don't use a paper map and odometer to guide myself on trails.

I like the less is more approach to the driver screen...a clean look is nice. That being said however, it would be nice to have the ability to increase the font size for those of us who are at the "where's my reading glasses" stage of life so we can quickly read things like battery %, or a driver notification, at a glance.

So you must also be annoyed about having a huge picture in the middle of the screen of stuff you can see if you just look out the window ?

Is it just me or is anyone else disappointed with the driver display?

I know many of these are available elsewhere in other screens but even my 2017 Chevy Bolt has all this right in front of me. For instance, you are driving down the road and something is 5 miles ahead or someone says turn after 5 miles or whatever, how do you know when you are close or past?

And why is usage over the last 15 minutes important? It is pretty but rarely is even close to the trip average (I live in a hilly area)

the 15 minute average will ever be the same as your overall average. I like it, it’s a real time display of how you are driving. I don’t need to see what my total mileage every moment. There are mapping directions on it. I think they should make it customizable because I do agree it’s pretty pointless. I know there is a car in front of me, I don’t need the road lines and cars.

The efficiency graph needs to reflect rated range and not an arbitrary "more range / less range" at 2 mi/kwh. It's also kind of silly to have it based on time instead of distance.

Having the speed next to the cruise and current speed limit would help focus.

Showing current trip consumption and having it automatically reset would be nice to monitor efficiency.

Showing the current song would be great as well. It's nice that it pops up when the track changes, but I don't always have the navigation or music up. If you're on the driving config app, the current song requires a swipe in, and then it's still temporary.

To those saying things are fine the way they are, that's fine; these are further customizations that can be made if you choose - or not.

@SwampNut: My wife and I log odometer mileage at the end of each driving day, for tax purposes.

I never saw any benefit to Rivian from placing the odometer mileage deep into the software.

But now I do! The benefit of annoying me is that this way, they don't annoy you! ?

I appreciate your many contributions to this forum anyway.... Very best wishes!
