I notice the rise in motor temperature most when preconditioning for fast charging. Have you noticed it when heading to a fast charger?
Nope. The vehicle warms the battery, but I have never seen the heat spike in the motors the way quads do.

A quick way to test the motor temp theories would be to cold soak the vehicle overnight, then upon entering the vehicle, set the navigation to a DCFC around 8-10km away. You should notice the motor temps start to go from around 9 or 10c up to around 65-90c within a few minutes, then plugging in at the DCFC, if not fully up to temp, they'll run up beyond around 135c until the battery gets up to around 12c, then drop to around 30c

That's really the only way I can think of to push the system to mimic what's happening in the QM variants.
I did that. Then I started this thread to see of other DM drivers are seeing the same thing. The battery is conditioning, but the motors do not spike past 129F.

a). The battery is being conditioned in different way in the DM (doubtful).
b). The oil bath cooling in the DM is so efficient that it is able to pull the needed heat off the motor windings w/o super heating it (probable).

As a further data point for the QM variant, I took three photos, one at 4:11pm once in the vehicle and drove home. No destinations or chargers set in the navigation. The remaining photos were at 4:16pm, and 4:29pm, once home.

Yeah, even when the battery is conditioning, I never see temperatures near that high in the Enduro.

Take some photos to document some of its nuances, I'm sure most of us are curious to see how the in house solution deals with the lower temps, especially conditioning.

Us Enduro guys don't have any of the excitement the QM fellas are having. No wild heat spikes, everything pretty much running temperatures I would expect. I have driven from the hot deserts of Mexico into the Oregon Sierras in the last week, and not seeing any readings of any real interest lol.

I'm in the northeast and haven't noticed this. Then again I work from home, mine stays plugged in and garaged. Lowest battery temps I've seen so far is 55F.
55F is above the point where the truck heats the batteries.

I am not sure of exact number, but mine now has had two mornings where pack was in 40's and it did the hotter motor thing till the pack was up into low 50's.

Interestingly, my pack was in the 40's yesterday for the first time since the guage update, and it did not heat the pack...

That is odd...mine was 48F(or close) and went all in on taking the motors to the high temps, and then stopped in low 50's.

There must be more to the logic....just can't figure out what or why?

Hahaha, I think I was actually listening to an indie music playlist at the time, but the Christmas playlist is always ready to go!

Some anecdotal data for my Dual Performance Enduro
Started driving today morning:
Outside Temp - 32F
Battery Temp - 36F
Motor Temps - 40F

On the ten mile drive, at arrival time, the data was:
Outside Temp 36F
Battery Temp 49F
Front Motor Temp Hovering between 128F - 135F, never above
Rear Motor Temp Hovering between 95F and 108F, never above

Very in line with what I have seen. Leads me to believe that the oil bath cooling is also a better heat scavenger. Which of course makes total sense.
