You are making a pretty big assumption that somehow the heat in the quads is bad. If the components of the motor are designed to handle the temperatures experienced, then nothing to worry about. In addition similar thoughts could be made about the dual....like now that it is oil bath cooled, they might get gasket leaks and be a maintenance problem.I think you are dead on here.
To get heat "out" from the core of a Bosch requires a lot more energy/heat in the center, because it has to travel all the way to the jacket to get picked up and used. In the Enduro motor, it is picked up where it is created (in the core), meaning the motor does not have to superheat to get similar benefit.
Another nice evolution, and another data point for anybody on the fence about which motor to buy.
I am not saying that is case....but I am also not concluding the heat is somehow shortening the life of the quad motors.
