I had an interesting day at my go to EA charger in northern PA on my trip to camp today. The vast majority of the time I am the only one charging when I stop, although I'll get an occasional sighting since it is a good location right off an interstate. I was surprised to turn into the parking lot today to see all 4 spots taken. And since EA was brilliant enough to put them at the edge of the lot, only one of the 2 cables on each of the 4 stations can be used when 4 spots are occupied. I quickly realized this wasn't just a random collection of owners though. Not only were 4 charging, there were several others in the parking lot. I think there were 3 and probably 4 Silverado EVs there. The Blazer and Equinox were there too. The vehicle on the right was the support van EV charging too. Parking lot was full of engineers on laptops and the interiors were all in varying partial states with testing equipment hooked up. The highlight of the bunch though was a wrapped Celestiq. I have to be honest. That is one ugly look for any vehicle, and I'm not talking about the wrap. I'm sure at $300k+ it will be a very nice interior, but for my taste, it will compete with the childish CT for ugliest EV on the road. I was happy to see the Equinox and there is still a good chance if GM can come through on the pricing they announced with it, then it will end up being my wife's next vehicle. I tried to get at least one picture once I joined the party for size comparisons. The Silverado was 2 spots away, so not the greatest pic, but it's obviously bigger than the Rivian. It looked ok. Last pic shows the one feature that it looks like they'll offer as an option that I know a lot of us would have liked to have. I only had to wait a couple of minutes for a spot to open, so ended up being a pretty cool experience for me. I half expected to run into Mary Barra when I went into Taco Bell for my lunch.
