I have been monitoring the Tesla Supercharger Network and EA throughout in real time for the past 2 days and the EV charging situation has generally been great and a real lifesaver. Despite the rampant Anti-EV claims by both know-nothing shills and certain actual Florida politicians it turns oit owning an EV has been your best option to evacuate. Gas stations have been out of gas for days in some cases and those that do have gas have had lines blocks long. Meanwhile my real-time monitoring of Tesla Superchargers and EA stations reveals plenty of stalls open at virtually every stretch of the escape route.

There should be hell to pay for those fools and scammers with their false claims about EV when it turns out in real life they have saved lives and so hope this topic is covered by the major EV YouTubers and other influencers. Gas stations are cited by many broadcast interviews right now as a main reason why they have not left Florida .—-out of gas.
10 years from now those same clowns will pretend all the whining never happened. We won't need CARB state mandates by then, EVs will be 75% of new car sales.

But you can steal gas from another ICE without electricity. Try stealing electrons from another EV.
I meant can't pump not can sorry. My point was before Wilma, Florida didn't require gas stations to have generators and that was the biggest issues during Wilma.....Plenty of gas, no electricity to pump it. This time around they are prestaging gas for after the storm but many areas are already out as people are stupid buying more than they need screwing everyone.

I came here expecting to read about DC fast chargers damaged by salt water and being inoperable. Any FL folks experience this after Helene or today?

Real talk, not jokes, I might be headed back home this weekend once damage is assessed.

For 125 dollars Lucid will send you a V2V dongle so you can transfer energy from a Lucid to a stranded EV . With 120kW battery onboard Lucid can easily save a lot of stranded EVs owners. Last month we charged an EQS 450 that was stranded a few hundred feet from the EA station at Target on US1.

I saw Kyle from OutOfSpec demonstrating this just yesterday and looked it up. Sure enough it's a sanctioned feature with Lucid Airs. So cool!

I mean you know the hurricane is coming for days. Even on an L1 charger you can essentially fully charge before it gets there. Then if the power is out for a week you can power your homes essential services off your giant car battery for the entire time and you still have range to use. Its another example of an EV having real advantages over an ICE car. Imagine if msot home owners had an EV and ability to power the home through their charger. Power outages wouldn't impact the communities as much just in general.

Gas station needs gas and electricity. Charging station just needs electricity.

That sounds awesome. Am sure I could google this, but since you already seem to know about it can you share a link to the product? ?
