I'm wondering what other people who purchased EV Sportline accessories have experienced with their items.
I purchased their jack pucks with magnets. They were over $200 with shipping. The rubber gaskets prevented them from staying slotted into the vehicle. Once the gaskets were removed the magnets did their job. However, the magnets were all misaligned. The company agreed and sent me new pucks.
Then, I ordered the sunshield for the roof glass of the R1S. They come with suction cups and magnets to keep the shield from sagging. However, the heat causes the glue to melt and the magnets fall out of the suction cups. Also, the sunshield doesn't fill in the opening perfectly. There are a few small gaps along the edges.
Now, I'm thinking of ordering the rock sliders. I hear they get surface rust. I would hate to spend $1800 and 6 hours of my time to later find quality issues.
What are your experiences with these rock sliders?

Nobody has received r1s sliders from EVSportline. Maybe r1t slider owners or running board owners can chime in?

I have the same issue with the R1S sun shade from them. I have a gap of 3/4"-1" on both sides of the front of the shade. Not sure if the shade tapers or the roof glass. It still works good, but could be a little better. While we are on the topic, the second layer sun deflector seems to small to attach to the shade, but I haven't fully installed it, since the black shade portion is cutting out enough of the sun /heat.

*** UPDATE *** I stand corrected, it appears the roof glass or at least the opening in the vehicle is tapered. I turned it 180 degrees and it fit fine. I did find the magnets resting on top of the shade, since heat makes it separate from the suction cup. Easy fix with some epoxy or silicone later on when it cools off.

While they don't make everything they sell, and some things they sell are made in China by other manufacturers, their RMaxx running boards and sliders are made in the USA.

Try turning it around. I had the same issue with mine where there were gaps initially. Then I turned it around 180 degrees and then it fit better. Weird it’s not a perfect rectangle and like you said, tapered.

I was just eyeing their running boards for my S. Curious to hear from T owners, if no S folks have gotten them.

I had the gap in the sunshade as well. It's not supposed to go too deep in the opening. Refer to their installation video for better fitment, it helped me get mine to fit perfectly. I don't have any experience with the other products you mentioned.

Had my rock sliders installed by EV Sportline 2 weeks ago, so far no issues at all but only time will tell.

I had an earlyish order for the R1S running boards (not sliders), and yes the coating was thin and surface rust developed in a short period of time. I reached out to them and were very quick to respond. I have to return the old ones (free shipping) whenever the new ones show up. TBH should've arrived by now, I'll reach out again in a few days if they haven't come. Overall, would definitely purchase again.

I have their R1T running boards and they are great. Good quality and substantial material. A bit of work to get installed, but makes it much easier to get in and out. Can't speak to the longevity as I've only had them a few months, but the powdercoat seems good quality.

There is a coupon code in the original thread in this forum for free shipping -- not sure if it's still active.

I have the pucks too, but haven't used them yet. Will have to check the magnet alignment...

I just installed the sliders today on my R1T. The powder coating seems a little light in some areas so I'm worried it'll rust like we saw another forum member listed about.

There was also some cosmetic damage from shipping and how it was packaged. For example, there's areas that show rubbing against the powder coating and the box. I think they need to put some foam padding all around rather than the sliders just in a box.

One side of my bars has some strange dent that I don't think is from transit damage. It appears the dent is an area where they welded two of the tubular bars together and it wasn't perfectly round.

They are certainly strong rock sliders that I'll never use for their purpose. I was more interested in using them as steps and not having to cut the plastics so I got the rock sliders version.

If Amp Research comes out with a power running board that deploys lower, I'll probably switch to them because these are too high up so using them as a step puts me up way too high and I feel it's easier to get in/out by not using them. I'm 5-11. My wife also doesn't like the look of them and doesn't want me to install them on her R1S when they arrive.

I also did their Jack Puck trade-in since I had old pucks with no magnets. I returned brand new ones never used and received ones that were all scratched up. Not a big deal because these are jack pucks, they're not meant to look good, but it speaks to quality control and maybe needing better processes.

Lastly, I ordered the R1T bed mat with no logo and received one with a logo. I initiated an exchange for the non-logo one and they sent again the wrong mat with the logo. Whatever is going on over there they have some room for improvement which I look forward to seeing.

i have their R1T rock sliders, bottle jack, pucks. All great quality - especially the beefy rock sliders.

Seems like folks who actually use the stuff they sell.

I have their running boards and they look very well made. I checked all the welds when I got them and they are look perfect to me. Haven’t had any rust either so far.
