Any signs of a glovebox or any other interior changes besides the charging pad divider?

Perhaps it will be a simple retrofit if the charging pad is upgraded and working as intended.

And I agree—the original lightbar is clean and looks the best.
RJ said on a MKBHD video that the charging pad would change and be retrofitted for original owners. So this is not a reason to buy the refresh.

the front is less "cute" which isn't a bad thing, imo. i like them both tbh.
Agreed.
I will say the other photo of the red one circulating the new bar unfortunately makes the front seem small and awkward to me. The current R1S proportions are nice and the light bar fills out the front. The new bar, looking slimmer from the indentation, makes the front seem small which doesn’t fit the rest of the car.

cant tell from the photo but i think the front camera was supposed to add a washer like there is on the rear. a glove box would be a nice addition. with regards to the front light bar, im curious to know if it changes functionality or its simply to reduce cost. it'll be great if the charging pad actually works but i doubt were going to get a free retrofit.

one thing i hope they improved on is reducing the wind noise.

I hope that’s a button on the door handle. That way it doesn’t have to always have to “present” itself. Proximity coupled with a tap on the button, then the door handle “presents” would be a feature I would have loved on my R1S.

I like the new light bar but if it’s at the cost of losing the halo turn signals, I’d rather go with the old design then.

Hope they do retrofit the phone charger for us owner, but at the rate service is trying to catch up with backlog, it could easily be a year or more before us original owners get it. Third party phone charger has been great for me, so no rush here.

Great find!

You can clearly see the port for attaching a front eye hook for towing.
I wonder how they would actually add the OG type tow hooks. Seems weird to need a completely different front bumper component, since they are trying to simplify.

Both look great. Here’s hoping the unseen changes are a nice step up

I miss the tow hooks, wonder if they are an option or still included in off-road package? It’s a simpler design though, they have rubber inserts for the tow hooks currently … would be cheaper

I agree the OG front is cuter and quirkier; the refresh looks a bit more lux though.

I still prefer the OG but I can understand why they went this direction.

I was secretly hoping they would bring the new scroll wheel steering wheel… but the interior pic seems to confirm its still the current version.

This looks like a sport / street spec with the 22s and removal of the tow hooks.

I prefer an off road variant, but this is cool and will appeal to a lot of SUV buyers.
