Oh no I thought you were asking about removing the wheel well plastic and such
Oh. Nope, he thinks he can go from the inside panel. No mention of anything below, thankfully.

I have $50 kit like this that has worked great on my City ride, but haven't tried it on our personal cars. That dent is similar to one I fixed.

Also, take a look at the threads where people swapped out the sub. That will give you an idea from the pictures what is behind the inner panels.

If you have doubts about the ability of the person you found, I would stop by your Rivian service center and ask for a recommendation.

Your local service center will almost certainly have a PDR company that they have a relationship with. Rivian has done PDR twice on my vehicle and they were very upfront about which company they outsourced the PDR work to.

It is hard/impossible to call a service center on the phone, but it is really easy to just walk up and ask a question.

She's all fixed up now - good as new! René at Epic Dent Pros in Denver did a great job. He was able to pull it without needing to access from inside. Just needed a little sanding and buffing to remove a crease that was left behind.

Had a similar dent on the back passenger side. Cost me $1500 out of the Cincinnati service center. Envious of the $550 bill

The sides of the Rivian are an aluminum/steel alloy. It's a bit harder than pure aluminum like the hood, but not much harder.
I took a magnet to mine. The truck has aluminum panels except for the truck bed stamping which is steel.

Looks great!
Had 2 dents on my tailgate that PDR mostly got out as well. I was dreading having to replace the tailgate at the time but PDR saved me

I have a dent near the same area. If he didn't access it from inside, where did he get to it from? Did he have to remove the bumper?

He just pulled it from the outside. I assume he used some sort of suction similar to the DIY kits others have mentioned.
