Glad to see these on the site with pricing nearer the time. Shame they need SC installation and not mobile service. I assume by summer they mean August rather than June!

Yea I’m wishful that we’ll see them sooner than later. Also hoping for pre march order holders that had these spare tires in their configs Rivian will honor the original pricing as the email that removed the adventure gear late 2022 noted that when they appear in the gear shop at the original pricing.

Pre March it was $800 to add a full size spare to your config. Anyone’s guess what that will look like in the shop.

Gear Shop says “available to order in summer of 2023” but the subtext they don’t include is that actual delivery will be…?

As others said...sincerely hope they honor our original pricing. I fully intend on taking mine off-road and NEED a spare, ASAP.

I won't be surprised when they won't allow me to buy a full-size spare for my R1S because it didn't come equipped that way...

I ordered a set of 4 of the AT's @ $4140 and sold the others (still have one left to sell). Per my conversation w/ guide yesterday $1200 + is his guess.

I see that you're an R1S order holder, as am I.

Checking the gear shop I do see that the full size spare will be available later this year. Got kind of excited.

But as noted in the gear shop, it is only for the R1T.

The R1S can only accept the inflatable donut spare.

If we want a full size spare we have to figure out how/where to store it, whether inside the cargo area (lose the third row seating), strap it to the roof, or install a trailer hitch spare tire rack.

I don't get how an inflatable spare could ever work - for any vehicle.

If you don't have room for a full sized spare, where are you going to put the full sized flat? Do they expect you to just leave it on the side of the road after installing the inflatable spare?
