Same. Poorly designed. Not just the latch. Won’t be surprised if that doesn’t last long.

Mine lives with the spare tire. I found it's more convenient there, anyway. Unless, of course, you're one of the folks having problems closing the spare tire compartment!

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I get the hose put back really well but, as compressed as it is, it kinda expands over time. PLUS, what if you wanted to use the spot for anything else? Just one more of those latches on the bottom would fix the whole thing.

I don't know the official name of that little compartment in the Gear Tunnel door (air compressor hose storage). Because there's only one latch at the top, the bottom tends to push open because the hose is trying to expand out, and I rolled it back up in there real nice, but eventually it goes back to looking like the pic. I assume people are having the same problem. Did I dream that someone said there was a fix/design change to address this?
I am with you on needing an additional latch - the backside is flimsy. That and I wish the flap over the air compressor in the back didn't feel like it came out of the 99 cent bin.

Mine has been this way from delivery, hasnt been an issue. I have probably used the compressor a half a dozen times in 20k miles of ownership so far.

If you submit a service ticket, they'll replace the whole thing... I had it done on the driver side within a month of ownership, and need to do it on the passenger side where the strap has ripped.
Hey MReda- would you post a pic of what the service center replaced cover looks like. I’m sure if that fixes issue several of us would go that route. Thanks.
