I with third party adapters I’ve never been able to get more than 85 kW to my Rivian from Tesla superchargers (this happened to me today, in fact). Has anyone done better with the real deal adapter? It would be a shame if that’s as fast as one could get.
Yup. I've gotten full speeds with my A2Z adaptor.

Here is the data from my most recent charge using an A2Z adapter at a Tesla Supercharger. I peaked at 217 kW

I have the Lectron, and it has issues(hard to get back off Tesla cable is the major one) but I’ve had it charge near the maximum
of 215. What state of charge are you at when you have tried? Around 60% the speed starts its decrease in speed and around 70% it’s always been under 100.
Did you follow Lectron’s instructions, to leave adapter attached to car and release Supercharger plug first?

Yes, this is actually my second adapter. The first one would lock on to Tesla cable but about 50% of the time it would only charge if I held the adapter with pressure. It also would randomly get stuck. The new one does not seem to have the issue starting charging but when I went to take it off, leaving in truck and pressing release, it would not budge, I then removed it and tried removing it to no avail. Put it back in and pressed button gave it a few good yanks in and out and it popped free. It may need to be used a few times to break it in. It’s just frustrating as I spent 10 minutes charging and 15 minutes getting it free. I ordered both via Homedepot.com so I have a 90 day return window. I have an upcoming trip and the Tesla chargers will be needed for sure. It’ll have to do.

Dump it. Try and get a refund and go A2Z.

This is common with Lectron's adapters. Originally they all got recalled for being too loose and potentially causing arcing when pulling them out mid charge. Now they're overcompensating and making them too tight of a fit. Some folks have even left their Lectron adapters connected to superchargers and abandoned them.

I had a very early VIN, but traded in that R1S for a newer dual max R1S. Did my willingness to help Rivian out put me in the back of the line?

Depends on whether they go by your original delivery date (like those who bought used and benefited from original owner being the first ones) or your second. Only one way to find out. Ask Rivian.

one assumes but low 2022 VIN R1S owners are somewhere in line...
They’re going by delivery dates… they mix in with when R1S started shipping along with R1T.

Yes, the person who bought your first R1S gets that vehicle’s delivery slot, and now you are in line with your new R1S Max.
