I updated the app and unless I am missing something, I really don't notice anything new...well at least I couldn't see. THe only thing I use on a regular basis is changing the charging percentage and scheduling the climate controls to go on.

I do have the Gen 1 R1T, so I don't know if that means anything.

The only thing I am really excted for and wanting is MESSAGING from the infotainment center. Yes, I know I can say "Siri" and it will do it, but I drive a long way to and from work and it would be nice to get a notification (flag) on the screen. My phone is on silent 99% of of the time and my wife will message me on my drive. There has been many times I get home and she will say "did you get my message?" only to not have seen it.

Looks like they *finally* fixed their bug in the app for filtering DCFC stations by power provided. For the longest time the 150+ kW filter actually only showed stations that were >150 kW, which meant that no EA stations were shown at all since they're listed as 150 kW only. I really don't understand why basically no manufacturers show correct (or realtime status) for EA, but to really get effective realtime routing they need to get it done. Having station status for all the Tesla stations on my last road trip was fantastic.

We apparently married the same woman. I keep explaining that when I’m driving the iPhone proactively goes into Driving mode with Do Not Disturb to prevent distractions.

If I was connected to CarPlay, the text would have been read to me by Siri after announcing its arrival (as in wife’s Audi), but no such procedure in the R1. She doesn’t seem to believe that not all car environments are the same.

Google Play Store says that the new version of the Rivian app is not compatible with my Galaxy S10e. Samsung should be slipping Rivian some money for helping them to force new phone purchases.
Me too. Play store says my andriod not compatible with Rivian? Running version 12

Just received a new android update through play store - maybe they fixed the issue with certain devices not working? I haven't had this issue and use a newer samsung z flip device.

Not sure, but ever since last (app) update, I'm not able to change the actual % charge limit. I can change the % number in the app, but it never actually sends the new % to the car. ie. last night I set the charge % on the app to 80% (closed/re-opened app etc just to make sure the new % took) and woke up to 100% (what was last set on the car). Resets don't help. Maybe this .1 fixed it...

Don’t think it fixed the app charging %. I set to 100% from 70% before heading on a road trip. Stopped at 70%. This release I believe.

Is it just me or is the lock/unlock toggle no longer a toggle and now two distinct buttons that just look like a single ‘slider’? Confused me for a couple of mins just now trying to lock our truck. I’m sure I used to just mash the general area, but now need to hit the left side to lock, and right to unlock.

That change was like a year ago. There used to be just one button that showed either a locked lock or an unlocked lock. It acted like a toggle. But the usability was awful because it was never clear what the current state was - if it showed a locked lock on the button, did that mean pressing the button would lock the car, or did that mean that the car was currently locked and pressing the button would unlock the car?

They changed it to look like a slider, which makes it a LOT clearer what the actual state of the car is. The current state is highlighted. You don't have to "slide" the button, just press the locked lock or the unlocked lock and the slider will move to highlight the selected state.

Ford has real-time status for EA, and they have Plug and Charge.

I created a ticket for not being able to update the app to 2.18 on my Galaxy S10e. Got a call back and they said my only option was to get a new phone. I work in tech, so I fully understand the reasoning behind not supporting older devices, but never thought about my phone limiting functionality with my truck. Has anyone seen any documentation on minimum requirements for devices, Android version, iOS version, etc.?
