I've heard mixed opinions on using the control arm to support the weight of the vehicle, but you obviously have more experience than me on this subject. And I (fortunately) haven't yet seen Rivian mobile service work on my vehicle to see how they lift it.

Appreciate your contributions to this thread and the community.
I have seen Rivian mobile service lift the vehicle and they use a special jack stand. https://rivianservicetools.com/Catalog/Product/TSN00597-300-E?groupId=146
They jack the center portion of the stand with a pro eagle jack.

When the tire is off the ground they attach the sides of the jack stand and lower the weight of vehicle onto the stand.
They also use wheel chocks.

When I rotate my tires I do one at a time.
I lift with a cat 3 ton big wheel off road jack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q1PLYSR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use a jackpuck xl for my puck.

I use a jack stand under my dce sliders just in case my jack slips.

Always make sure to use some wheel chocks.

If the lower suspension arm is strong enough to support weight of vehicle every single day, parked and while driving, it is strong enough to be used as a jack point. So why is it not documented? you may ask. That’s because the official jack points, with jack adapters, are more secure and more fool proof. Unless on a slope, which you are not supposed to, the chance of vehicle slipping off of the adapter or jack is very slim. In a pinch, when pucks/adapters aren’t present or couldn’t be used, the lower control arms are fine to lift from… as long as you place jack in the right spot (which is pointed out by another in prior post).
