Have not worn a ring in ages. I lost my wedding ring more than 30 years ago and is still happily married to the same woman.

So, I called Rivian about my ring that went missing in the same rabbit hole between the center console and seat. They sent the Mobile service van to Charlotte NC and retrieved my ring within 10 minutes ($200 service fee). He didn't have to disconnect anything electrical so that was a plus. Just unscrewed 4 bolts which released the seat so you could rotate it up, and then plucked up the ring. That easy. It was stuck under the carpet, close to the driver door side. The mechanic said he could have actually pulled up the carpet to retrieved it without unbolting the seat - had we known it was that close to the edge. Next time I'd just do it myself

Go to know. I guess your ring migrated all the way from the center console to the door? No different than when I drop a small item in my house and it inexplicably ends up 43 feet away, in a closed drawer.

Exactly. Rip it around a corner and then see if you can get up under your carpet to find anything you've lost down there. You can always replug that carpet back in with a wedge

Ha, I thought I was the only one. This spring I had a small glass "item" fall out of my pocket and in trying to retrieve it, I managed to shove it through the aforementioned Black Hole. It is/was replaceable, but I quickly learned that items in the black hole will roll back and forth on the metal floor underneath, making annoying noise with every turn. Slightly embarrassed, I advised the Denver service center that this item needed to be retrieved or I would risk breaking the law in many states outside Colorado. It might take a specially trained dog to detect it, but not unheard of. They kindly helped me retrieve my "item" and I've since learned to empty my pockets before I get in the truck. ?

Well, I guess that's one way to propose to your Rivian. Best of luck with the new nuptials. ??‍♀
