If the panels are interlocking all you would need is some legs to have a large table.Doubles as a camp table? Does this mean you get to sit in the bed of the truck with a nifty panel in front of you, so you can enjoy your Chardonnay and caviar?
How in the world is that going to really work?
Once the interlocking slats are removed from the bed you simply assemble them with table legs that are stored in the Gear Tunnel.Doubles as a camp table? Does this mean you get to sit in the bed of the truck with a nifty panel in front of you, so you can enjoy your Chardonnay and caviar?

Genius! Or how about they make the panels as solar panels so we can get some free juice??Once the interlocking slats are removed from the bed you simply assemble them with table legs that are stored in the Gear Tunnel.

A table or recovery board capability would be a nice bonus.I believe this is the reason behind the manual tonneau cover delay. They are designing and engineering the cover to be multipurpose and avoid a powered tonneau fiasco.
Table I could see, recovery boards? Not a chance.A table or recovery board capability would be a nice bonus.

I was told the same by a service rep. He said all the wiring was still present, it just needed the tonneau unit and a software update. Iām hoping thatās true, but not really holding my breath.Agreed, hope we can cancel if we donāt like how it turns out. On an unrelated note, was chatting with the service rep when I brought the truck to SJ service center and he was saying he expects the new powered tonneau design to be compatible for a retrofit. Seems to contradict what I heard from my guide last year.![]()
I agree 100%. In fact, the rails have allowed these awesome DIY solutions.I really donāt like the look of any of the modded covers that sit on top of the bed. Using the rails = a cleaner OEM look IMO.
