Received the email and confirmed last week.
Took delivery a couple of weeks ago, 2024 R1S produced in Dec 2023.

I have a package coming in today from "COX AUTOMOTIVE CORPORATE SERVICES, LLC" which I didn't order anything from.
I've looked up and it looks like they sell EV charging products.

Could that be it or am I too hopeful?

I met someone 3 weeks ago who has a VIN in 3000s who’d gotten his shipping address confirmation request email - around the same time as the Supercharger team got cut. If the roll out isn’t in the 4000s already it’s seeming likely adapters have hit Elmo’s speed bump.

Does the VIN sequencing reset to x0001 with each new model year? Or does it continue sequentially when they transitioned over from 2022 to 2023 models?

Who knows how they decide. I have 2 with VINs in the 1xxx range. I have not gotten a confirmation yet, but have opted in.

Seems like a whopping total of less than 100 were ever shipped (est.). Now, if it were something for sale, rather than free, they would have had more inventory, somehow, some way. Not really a priority when it’s nothing but a cost to them. Given their financial situation, I can see them dragging this out over a year or more, blaming the faceless “supply chain”. Similar to how those early pre March 2022 pricing orders were handled….
