So these adapters are starting to ship now. Does anybody know if this means you can now charge at any Tesla supercharger with it or are people just getting them in anticipation of this ability?

Will Rivian provide this to the owners or the owners will have to buy them?

This has been covered extensively. There's no news on when superchargers will open up to Rivians. Even Ford hasn't gotten access yet. The adaptor hardware availability is entirely separate from Tesla allowing other manufacturers at non-Magic Dock chargers.

The @Administrator probably need to sticky the Tesla supercharger access thing on this sub forum. Its understandable folks have a lot of questions about the availability.

That’s what I thought. I’m pretty good about staying up to date with these things but wasn’t sure if I had missed something.

The information I’ve seen gave me the impression that they were going to give them. However, I find that highly unlikely. Most likely they’ll make them available for purchase in the shop is my assumption.

Nope, haven't missed anything. The last we heard was Ford and GM announcing they'll get supercharger access "soon" but no one has any idea when it'll actually happen. Rivian will most likely happen after.

There will be many threads and articles once Rivian is sending out adapters and is able to charge on the Tesla supercharger network. Sit back and relax until that happens. You won't miss it.

The link is just Lectron's NACS to CCS adaptor. They mean Lectron has begun shipping their adaptor. It has nothing to do with manufacturers shipping anything.

What we know so far:

1. Tesla Superchargers that do not have Magic Docks (most of them) cannot yet charge CCS vehicles.

2. Ford and Rivian have said they will be providing CCS-NACS adapters for free to all owners. Ford has specified that you will have to request it, but it will be free.

3. Ford has said that they will start shipping the adapters to their customers "soon", although they haven't yet made any way to request one.

4. Ford has said that billing will happen through the FordPass app/in-vehicle-billing-setup like they do with Electrify America Plug-and-charge that they call "Blue Oval Network" billing.

5. Tesla does have an option to "charge your non-Tesla vehicle" in the Tesla app. For now, that only works for Superchargers with the Magic Dock; there is no way to initiate a charge on a "just Tesla/NACS" plug. This means no adapter will work right now.

6. We have no idea on Rivian adapter timing or how billing will work.

Presumably, billing will work similar to the Rivian Adventure Network, and similar to how Ford will work with Blue Oval, that you set it up on the Rivian app or in the vehicle.

What we don't know is if the *adapters* are going to be vehicle-tied, or if they will just pass through the connection info.

We don't know if Tesla will open up billing on all Superchargers the day the first adapters start shipping, allowing anyone with an adapter to use it, even if they have a vehicle that it wasn't "shipped for." (AKA: I have both a Ford and a Rivian, if Ford ships me my adapter before Rivian does, I don't know if I'll be able to go charge my Rivian with it.)

A2Z EV is apparently already shipping.

Some people showed the A2Z adapter working at various locations :
