I like the Vistiq. I like the Lyriq too, it's just too small. Had this been out when shopping for my new R1S I might have decided on the cadillac, it is certainly cheaper.
When I first saw the Lyriq on Leno's Garage, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, I thought it looked big. Once I saw one in person, I was surprised it's more like just-right size. It was white, with blacked out trim and looked damn good. I think Honda executed their version better though. Caddy slathered on a few too many gratuitous Gotham City styling bits.

Ehhh. Looks like a minivan.
Because it's a people-mover? Same could be said of the R1S. Minivans have short sloping hoods. To me, it's a phoned-in electric version of Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban.

It's a competitor for the Escalade/Suburban/Tahoe XL customer and not a bad one at that.

Are there other off-road capable EV SUV's with 3 row seating? If not, the R1S is, for now, 1 of 1.

Will be interesting to see if/when Rivian addresses the captains chairs possibility in the second row. Most competitors in 3-row EV segment now have this option.

$80-100k doesn't scream benchseats only.

7.2" ground clearance and no All Terrian options? Not an SUV. It's a luxury 3 Row Electric Minivan. But of course, Cadillac would not be caught dead actually selling a minivan, so market it as an SUV and 75% of the public will believe it.

Scout is 3 row and looks to be the most capable off road EV produced.

EVs based on ICE chassis are generally this way. Engine is replaced by all the EV bits.
I don’t think this is based on an ICE architecture though. It’s on the same BEV3 architecture as the Lyric.

This is what 90% of “suvs” are these days. That’s what most people want. It’s a crossover, I don’t think Cadillac is marketing this as anything other than that.

I do think this will do well. I also don’t think this is as big as people are thinking and it’s nothing like an Escalade despite the marketing. It’s basically an electric Lincoln Aviator/Lexus TX competitor.
