I would say this isn’t really for me. But I will say that captains chairs and supercruise are two pretty big positives over the Rivian. (Of course Rivian has its own other huge positives over the Cadillac).

A V Series with that AKG audio system might be compelling.

Works better as a pharmaceutical name
"Caution: If you experience an erection lasting more than 4 hours after driving Vistiq please immediately call/facetime all your friends to brag, then seek immediate medical attention."

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate the Tennis/Golf mom model they chose... not bad.

On to the specs (of the car) kinda makes me feel like they slapped a SUV body on their Chevy Blazer platform. The battery has a rated capacity of 102kWh and a peak charging speed of 190kWh.

No range figures listed anywhere on the website.

I'm feeling the Escalade IQ but not for $50k more especially since tech UI is no where near Rivian or Tesla

Going to be a strong competitor for the Lucid Gravity I think, but not so much for the R1S.

Apparently, I'm the only one here who likes that new Cadillac design language. The Art Deco styling cues are stylish, and I quite like their new design direction. Rivian's ascend trim is more mid-century inspired, and they are doing it well. My home office is mid-century modern, so it strikes a chord with me.

If the Buick Wildcat concept were a reality, I would choose it over either of them. It is bold in its Art Deco styling, and I would love to drive something that leaned heavily into artistic direction.

I'm a fan of itheir design language also just not in the market for an SUV.

R1S will feel pressure in this segment as majority of SUV buyers aren't going off road or towing.

Rivian needs to start embracing and supporting the off road / customizing DIY culture versus the service everything with them mentality or they may find themselves out of a market soon with Scout taking away the adventure space and all the traditional makes in the luxury space.

It's not about the fact that most don't take their very capable vehicles off road...it's about the image they project that says they can ;)

I like it, but it's only one part of the complete package. Overall capability, predominately anchored by range and charging speed, along with the financial component are maybe stronger indicators.

Weak resale, GM's tendency to really cheap out on some parts of the interior, and lack of Carplay do alot to offset the generally good looks.

Supercruise is chef's kiss though.
