I keep wanting to think that this post was done as a joke. I'm now more afraid than ever to be out driving among people who do this.

You can disable the rear sensors, in the event you have a bike rack or anything behind the vehicle. I think you can turn the others off too. I am always super careful when driving the truck, and I get dinged and donged constantly when I am close to anything. When backing up, I would have been alerted before I hit that escalade. I'd say the truck needs to be diagnosed, but you say it is the second vehicle that has done this, so I don't know. The mirrors are hardly useless, but they cannot show you whats it exactly behind you. If you passenger side mirror is adjusted correctly, I'm not sure how you missed the huge white suv.

I turn my rear alert off for the bike rack but the cameras and the rest of the sensors do a great job. So do my eyes.

The sensors are a backup to your eyes. They’re not there to be your primary means of safe backing!

I got no sensors and no beeps and there’s no way to tell with such a huge truck when you’re by yourself and since I can’t turn around without a 16 point turn, it was very challenging and I think you should understand

The side mirrors give you nothing so there’s no way to tell and the camera from above also gives you nothing so unless I’m gonna get out of the car and look while it’s driving itself, I would like for you to explain to me. How one looks if you get no beeps at all and there’s no way to tell perspective on such a giant truck. Also, I’m gonna report you for being a jerk on this forum
