Got this at 2:30 am one night on my 2 week old R1S.
Immediate serving required as the parking brake has failed!
Must been an automatic parking brake. I was parked in a driveway with a slight slant, so perhaps it applied it for me, which I didn't think was necessary.
A google search said something about going to the service menu and manually releasing the parking brake to enable rolling or towing.
Did that and car would not go into gear. I'm thinking, I got this car so I wouldn't have to worry about my 2004 chevy truck not starting at a bad location or time of night.
Unable to believe this was really happening and just a bad dream, I got out of the car, locked it with the key card, and then unlocked it and got back in to see what would happen.
Fortunately, the error light went away, and the car behaved normally.
Anyone else experience of hear of this happening?
I'm new to the vehicle, so would like to hear other ways to reboot the system. I'm familiar with doing it on Tesla cars, but not on my R1S. So much is different - I haven't learned all of the procedures yet.
Thanks, in advance,
Tom
