Performance Dual missing Sport Mode

So it looks like your vehicle doesn’t think it has the Performance option but your app does. Really interesting but agreed it should be a software fix.

No, I don’t know how that works. I called Rivian Service and they see that it was a mistake and are supposed to be setting up a mobile service appointment.

Interesting so see a thread where someone has a very legitimate gripe yet is approaching the situation in a reasonable manner and not losing his/her mind.

There might be some misunderstanding then. You can only option a Performance Dual Motor with the large pack. I wasn't aware that PDM was gated behind anything smaller than a large battery.

Mine is supposed to be a standard + battery

I found a standard+ with Performance DM in the shop.

You can definitely get the Performance with Standard+ now. Only the Quad requires large.

OP that’s wild. I would have anxiety through the roof upon discovering that. There’s no hardware difference between the dual and performance dual luckily so def should be fixable as others have said.

The SP can be paired with PDM. While they are still using NCM the standard could probably support PDM. When they switch to LFP though this will probably change.

I have same problem. It's been a month since delivery and dont have a resolution. Bought PDM and have no sports mode and inside vehicle setting shows DM. Aside from a bunch of other issues... Mine sounds like a shopping cart with loose items and rattles all over the interior. Rivian service dats set for September 23, 2024, delivery was June 4th. Thats a 3 1/2 month wait... and powered Tonneau cover was not delivered with vehicle either.

Delivered on June 14, 2024, my R1T was supposed to include Performance, did not, and in less than a week after taking delivery, the Denver Service Center truck came to my location in Boulder and updated the firmware, fixing the issue. They also took the time to answer some other questions. Kudos to the Denver Service Center.

Interesting. I am in Los Angeles... not a peep from anyone other than from the robotic sounding customer service department
