Pettiest complaint: I hate the turn signals

Am I the only one that likes the sound? I find standard turn signals annoying now.

I don’t have a problem with the tone but the volume is actually too low- if the radio is on at all I have a real hard time hearing the tone. So I’m the idiot driving down the freeway with the blinker on now! I’m 51 and hearing is decent- never had this problem before. Also doesn’t help that the visual blinker on dash is obscured by the steering wheel… at the least a volume control would be nice.

Most drivers in California don’t believe in said turn signals as rumor has it that lever is electrified.
I am brave and use it frequently. No shocks yet…

Mine doesn’t cancel all the time either. I don’t really care for the sound as you can’t even hear it over the music.

The turn signal function on our R1T works well. they cancel after the turn as expected. The sound is OK. I like it better than the sound in our Silverado. I like the way the signal looks from the rear. It is not large but very distinctive and noticeable. I have a lot of experience watching Opal's turn signals as I followed her back to Florida from the Factory. I also like her turn signal from the front. The large amber arrangement is very distinctive.

Not an acoustics expert but since dull sounds are easily drowned out, I'm guessing that's why the signal noise has traditionally been sharp/shrill. I also have trouble hearing it above a running AC or the speakers.

Yep, I was coming here to say this. I had the same frustrations as others until I learned this - and then my complaints mostly disappeared!

Same for me... I can't hear them when driving on the freeway, they don't cancel automatically and often times I think I turned them on, only to find out that I didn't. I hope they address at least some of these issues via OTA.
