Yes - we're not ready to buy yet but $100 is a minimal hedge, and I'm still kicking myself for not keeping a second R1 reservation even though I didn't have a second one to buy on the horizon.

Our second vehicle is a Model Y and we're eager to leave Tesla behind when it's ready to replace - that's hopefully not for a few years, but $100 is a small price to make sure we're not at the back of the line should things change.
Literally my regret also. I wish that I had two reservations. I'm definitely ordering more than one this time. Fleet vehicles.

I’m excited to see what the R2 brings, but I’m more looking forward to an R1T refresh or if an R2T ever comes.

I think the future Rivian portfolio will include an R1T, R1S, R2 SUV and a R2 pickup truck.

No big deal to reserve one, but to hear about their earnings report leaves some doubt if they will survive the way the economy is going, I reserved a cybertruck, but by the time I get to order will have to see how much they improved it. I am waiting to see how the R2 looks & different trim levels, so I will put my reservation down after 3/7/24, also I am not a young guy anymore so this may be my last purchase, I told my wife I have no problem spending our kids inheritance, be well everyone

Until Rivian has a service center within a 2 hour drive, I would be extremely hard pressed to purchase another Rivian.

That makes sense.

Will be selling my Model S and Volt for a Polestar 2, here soon. That will be the "second" car until the R2 arrives.

My wife will be looking to buy in a few years, so I'll put in $100 to reserve a spot just in case she wants an R2. She's seriously considering an EV and has expressed interest in a "neue klasse" 800 volt iX3 or an R2.

0 interst here.

We have need for two vehicles:

Vehicle #1 - Commuting to work, 30 mi round trip with one occupant and one briefcase.

Vehicle #2 - Road tripping, hauling big stuff back from Home Depot, and fitting all of the kids and their annoyingly big carseats.

Based on the rumors, R2 is much too small to accomplish the second task. R1 is slightly too small, so smaller is a step in the wrong direction. And R2 is going to be way too big to be a good fit for the first.

Unless the 2 in R2 stands for 2x as big as R1 or 2-seater, it is going to be a poor fit for our family.

Don't see an option for:
Yes - previously owned an R1

Will absolutely be placing a deposit on the R2.
While the R1S is a great vehicle, it was too big for what we needed.
Predicting what vehicle(s) we'll need in 3-4 years is a bit of a crapshoot, but I waited that for an R1 and the deposit was 10x that of the R2s $100.

Wow, I didn't think of that as an option. Thanks!

Definitely. We got my wife a Mach-E in November 2022 using Ford Options, which means we have the option to just return the card after three years or buy it out. The way things are looking with used EV prices well probably be paying more than the car is worth at that point so will likely just return it. Hopefully R2 will
Be ready then.
