So I do a lot of traveling and I’ve stopped at a lot of charging stations over the past two years. Now that they’ve opened up more Tesla points and ias able to cut nearly 2 hours off my trip by traveling through West Virginia, but one of the charging place was in Princeton, West Virginia.
It’s not a bad location, they got a gas station. They got a Starbucks, they got a fantastic restaurant called teriyaki madness.
But the physical space around the chargers what is possibly the dirtiest nastiest Charger I’ve been to. I couldn’t even tell you if you could walk 5 feet without having a step over multiple piles of dog dung, the parking lot was skewered with trash, and at least two of the chargers, had a strange lean to them, which I’m sure was not in the original design.
I pulled in with about 12% state of charge and stayed around until I hit 85% and it never topped 130 kW/h.
I did meet a nice couple and another Rivian R1 S who pulled in and admiring my pups…
That’s all nothing horrific just a dirty nasty charging point which has a ton of potential
